Poppy is a gorgeous 9 year old girl who is a available from Greyhound Safety Net in Victoria.

Her carer writes....

Poppy has made an amazing adjustment to family life and is a joy to live with.

She is affectionate, friendly to all she meets, calm, gentle and alert. Nothing seems to faze her. Poppy loves people and she is loved right back. She really enjoys her walks and socialising.

Poppy walks well on a lead, only pulling when she is excited about seeing another dog. She has approached every dog wagging her tail. She has very quickly learnt "Stop" and "Go" when out walking.

Poppy needs help getting into a car but she is a quick learner so that may change soon. She travels well in a car and loves being included in any activity such as a walk along the shops and the beach. Poppy sleeps well inside and only rises when we do.

It will be a very fortunate family/person who adopts Poppy.

Yes it's heartbreaking considering most have given their unwavering devotion to their owner for years, then the owner just ups & takes them to the pound for no apparent reason other than their getting old. Shame on them....????

Skye is a gorgeous 10 year old blue and white girl who is available form Greyhound Safety Net in Victoria. So many senior greyhounds looking for homes :(

A bit about Skye...

Picture

Skye is a beautiful White and Blue girl. She is a super friendly mature girl, who loves the company of humans and is a very happy confident girl, not much fazes her at all.

She is easy going; as long as she gets her morning walk and breakfast she will be happy to sleep the day away. Skye is quite energetic for a 10 year old, and can easily walk 2 km.

She loves to lounge around, and with her soft fur, you will want to pat her all day. Skye would be ideally suited to a quieter home (either no children or older children).

She would be suitable as only dog if she has company the majority of the time, otherwise, she would be fine with a medium/large breed, low energy canine companion.

I have a real soft spot for Dobes. I'd had nothing to do with the breed until my stepson rescued a 18month old boy from Geelong. He has had him years now & what a delightful boy he is. So loyal. An excellent watch dog. Just the loviest big boy. Never caused Shannon a moments trouble. He is a big teddy bear & wants nohing more than a cuddle & a lounge chair :)

Hope this lovely golden oldie Barron finds a loving place go lay his head ASAP...♡

Hasn't Barron got the most kissable face?

I just wanna kiss all their faces

His profile says he is temporarily unavailable for adoption now, what ever that means :/

I have animal loving relatives in the Bundaberg District. Shall forward Barron's details to them to share around ... when he becomes available again for adoption. He's gorgeous. Friends had a Dobe boy from puppyhood, which grew up with the children. He was a perfect nanny dog. Much loved & respected, that Dobe!

Dobermann Club Qld has a Rescue interest. They say they liaise with shelters/pounds etc to provide support. Perhaps send them an email giving Barron's details.
