westiemum Posted July 22, 2015 Share Posted July 22, 2015 Sorry Tara - there's an internationally renown vet dermatologist here at the University of Adelaide vet school - but don't know about your neck of the woods - I'd try the vet school in Sydney and go from there. Rappie Posted July 22, 2015 Share Posted July 22, 2015 There is Linda Vogelnest and her resident Phillipa Ravens at SASH, Beth MacDonald at the University of Sydney Teaching Hospital and Danielle Hoolahan at ARH. I have had most contact with Linda and very good feedback from clients, the practices I have worked at recently have a close relationship with SASH but that is no particular reflection on the different referral hospitals. I've followed her from Sydney Uni in Camperdown to Camden (bit of a drive!) and now SASH in Ryde. DZaak Posted April 28, 2016 Share Posted April 28, 2016 Hi all, I'm looking into a dermatologist too. Based on location, ARF is the best for me, which would be Danielle Hoolahan. Would it be worth the travel to the North Ryde area for Linda Vogelnest who just gets non-stop rave reviews? Also, what sort of costs are associated with specialists like this? My maltese was diagnosed with yeast based allergies, but my local vet can't recommend anything outside of medicated shampoos, steroids and antibiotics. The Shampoos don't work and I've used the steroid/antibiotic combo once and never want to use it again out of fear it will make things worse with her already weak immune system (When she was on them, they worked great on her symptoms though).
