Or, if you are still wanting brand new... look at the Canon 1200D, the 700D, or the 750/760D models... and go for one with either the 2 lenses, or the Tamron 18-270mm lens T. Thanks T, I've worked it out. :laugh: DSLR's are the ones I don't want as far as google says. And to Miss Smartypants (if you're reading this ) I'm getting a compact. No vicarious EOS shopping for you! I'm making the plunge today and cannot thank everyone enough for all your help I'll post my first photos then tell you what I bought, but a hint; canon and compact.
