Recovering Over-Exposed Photos

This is a stupid question and I almost think I already know the answer but I thought it would be good to have an expert's opinion from here.

I was very stupid today and forgot to check/adjust the settings on my DSLR before taking some photos. The shots all came out way over-exposed, literally like the entire photo is just white.

Is there anyway I can work with the RAW file to make it appear at least viewable? I messed around a bit but the best I could do was a very faint silhouette of the dog. Very annoyed with myself because I think they would have been some decent shots otherwise!
