From reading that I would assume the flight/transport was already scheduled and the frog was a tag along for the trip.

What resources? They just took advantage of existing facilities, nothing over the top.

Yeah, I work in animal transport and this guy would have gone in a box in the cargo hold of a scheduled flight or run, as for the resources in surgery etc, I would say why not, I guess.

Interesting case for the vet, awesome publicity for them and for the frog rescue.

I saw this shared on fb and the amount of ridiculous comments about it being a waste of resources... Phew! You would think the frog was taking up a first class human seat on board the plane with all the backlash! And the Frog Hospital runs off donations I believe, so yeah, not a waste as far as I'm concerned - nice to see people with the compassion to do something.
