Love the Clam Shell for Lacey, Marg. It's all about what they love, right? Even if it does eventually get destroyed. Kmart used to sell these plush bone toys which would last about 6mths before getting destroyed, but they were my dog's favourite. Especially when the stuffing started coming out.

How's Crumpet going, luvmybulldog? I love that name too. :D Food treats always go down well over here too. I have some green lipped mussels on the way that I found for a great price.

Scottsmum that giant tennis ball is amazing but you already know that. Please post a photo of Sir Scotland with it.

Crumps going ok - Thank PK. Had a bit of a scare on Sunday - She suddenly went blind, stumbling and running into walls, cupboards and collapsing. she was completely freaked out ( me too ). Rushed up to QVS where they ran full bloods that showed nothing. Her BP was through the roof and they said that could cause swelling behind the eyes and advised that it could be that her retinas had detached but I would have to see an ophthalmologist, then the vet told me that I probably wouldn't get an appt. till the coming Wednesday and by then it would be too late. I had to ask for some sedatives to calm her down. I gave her two tablets when I got her home and I also gave her half a pred tablet ( she has these on hand in case of a bee sting ) thinking it may ease any swelling.

Any way, she was zonked out for the night and when she got up on Monday morning she could see again. She's been ok through the last few days but I'm giving her a quarter of a sedative tablet in the morning before I go to work to keep her calm and she went back to get the stitches removed today. Her leg is going fine and Jason had a good look at her eyes and said he can't see any problem so I'm going to see how she goes and give her time to get over the surgery and then decide if seeing the eye specialist is the next step.

I wish I knew what bought it on, I thought it could be a reaction to the anaesthetic or the Carprieve or Amoxyclav but the vet tells me that they shouldn't cause any problems like that. Just keeping fingers crossed she keeps going ok and there is no damage to her eyes.

Sorry for the long reply everyone.

  • 2 weeks later...

I meant to reply earlier luvmybulldog, it sounds like quite a scare. Hoping these past couple of weeks have seen further recovery.

I had to look up those first two gifts, silentchild! Nice finds. You seem to be across all the cool stuff, lol! :D

My parents' pup loves his Kong teddy bear, Eza! He's got a grey one.

Love it Marg. Well, not the grass seed of course! The early Chrissy gift. Malcolm got to check out his loot in advance... but I think as a noseworker he was mostly excited about the box.

I've added the Through A Dog's Ear album 3 and a pull-out tap from Aldi to his present list (bought ages ago but still not installed). Not that he cares about the tap but it will make bath time quicker which he will prefer! And while I love their effectiveness I'm getting really sick of albums 1 & 2 of TADE so some variety will be great. :o

Nothing

I only got the greys yesterday and bought them some Kong toys, and a mallard duck and a rat squeaky, but didn't even think to get them a Christmas present :(

Not nothing - they have now got a wonderful new home to live out their lives

I gues so.. That's a nice way of looking at it :) Thank you!!
