Teacups: Thought The Term

I have noticed recently multiple registered breeders referring to their puppies as 'teacups or teacup size' I thought this was a term breeders or anyone in the purebred dog world did not like, is it ok to use, have things changed, I thought it was something puppy farmers used for marketing.

It is only a “no no” where people aren’t looking to fool the public or be cruel to dogs.

That’s probably a bit of an overstatement, because some people who aren’t very exposed to what goes on the breeding (both pure and BYB) simply are just not aware and they don’t know that they aren’t aware. Education is never finished.

As said....anyone with the money and fills the paperwork out can be a registered breeder (the test is an absolute joke to obtain a prefix) it's up there with the so called breeders that call them German Shepard or Rottwheeler on their advertisements.
