Lost dog taken interstate

4 posts in this topic

I saw this on FB, it was from a page called 'Han Pet Sits' who I think was a doler at one stage. From what I can gather they were just sharing the information. I'm posting it here for further exposure hoping the dog might find his owner/s:

Apparently this poor boy has less chance of finding his home because some travellers took him interstate. :(

"DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS DOG? PLEASE SHARE!

This dog has been on a very long journey. Found in Victoria he was popped in the car and driven all the way to Sydney before being left at the Sydney Dogs and Cats home. This dog is well-groomed, has great manners and is well socialised. A chip could not be located. It is highly likely he is very missed by his family back in Victoria.
The people who picked him up were backpackers and were unable to name the location where he was found. So we're asking everyone here to share, share, share this post in hopes of finding his owners.
The shelter will require proof of ownership.
If you know this dog, please contact the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home on (02) 9587 9611

Please share and find this awesome dude his family."

This has been all over my FB. Apparently the claim is that the dog is from Ballan (not really on the normal backpacker's route from Melbourne to Sydney so it may well be a case of mistaken identity) because someone remembered trying to catch the dog at a servo in Ballan and was relieved to see the backpackers catch it instead.

But brindle staffy crosses are like every third dog around here, so who know if it is the same one or not?

if it was at a "servo in Ballan" it was on the Western Highway between Melbourne and Adelaide so could be from anywhere as there are no service stations actually in Ballan

I wonder if this dog ever got back to it's owner/s
