Australian made treats? Freeze-dried tripe?

Hi All,

I'm having a devil of a time trying to find the terrific tripe treats (freeze-dried I think) I bought a while ago from a groomers - and I don't have the bag anymore and can't remember the brand :(

I 'm after really good quality, Australian made, freeze-dried or dehydrated treats for the westies - prefer tripe but would be happy to try other recommended brands and types, as long as they are Australian made.

Any suggestions please?  (The westies and their grandmother are desperate!)

TIA :)

If they were the ones you got from me at my (former) salon on Payneham Rd I can get you the contact details for the supplier

Hello!  I didn't realise that was you!  Thanks tons - would be really good to know as the westies loved them.  Thank you! :thanks:

These people sell them WM (hummm, spelling could be better-->Why give just a dog treat when you can give a natural feat?)

Just curious, if they are fairly hard to source, does anyone buy tripe from their local butcher and dry it in a household dehydrator?  Would this be much different to the commercial treat product?

I did that and ended up freezing the pieces after a few hours of drying.

OMG the stink

you have no idea how bad it was

Never never dry green tripe yourself

ever

What you get from your local butcher will be bleached tripe, not green. Not smelly but not as attractive to dogs either. You need a dog supply place or abattoir for green.
