Crosseyed?

My vet says my Irish terrier is crosseyed. Im not sure how that will affect his vision he can be nervy and i wonder if he lacks peripheral vision

 

ive attached a couple of photos but im not sure how bad it is the vet didnt give me any information 

 

has anyone had much experience with this. I was planning to compete in obedience with him

I can imagine it could make him a bit jumpy. I'd be back at the vets asking for more info and if they can't help then seek out a specialist. May not be a problem in low levels of obedience but could hinder his ability to see the dumbbell or judge a jump correctly for instance.

Personally I'd definitely be getting a consult with a vet eye specialist.   I don't know where you are in VIc, but there's a specialist service in Melbourne that has a regular roster of regional visits (who knew Tasmania was a region of Victoria :laugh:.)
