  1. no one ? how about the police ? please pm me if it cant be discussed on board. thank you !
  2. i never saw anything and trusted verbal representation. My puppy has juvenile cataracts now, and i am still fighting to get her pedigree certificate after a year of purchase. BTW, i have reason to believe my dog comes from a very good line.......her siblings are currently being shown.
  3. can state canine council insist? or they can only advise ? legal advice, which one ? From the state canine council.... All dogs when sold should go to their new owners with a Certificate of Registration - either a blue certificate (main or full register) or an orange certificate (limited register). It is up to the breeder which register the dog is put on but they should explain the difference to you. They have 28 days to forward on this certificate. If the member was a Victorian member at the time he must comply with our rules and regulations. One of which is that he cannot withhold paperwork and has 28 days in which to supply you with them. Whether the puppy has an ongoing health issue is irrelevant – he must give you the paperwork.
  4. as long as she is not in pain, i am grateful. i am meeting specialist next week and after that I will revert to breeder. Thanks everyone ! for helping me through a difficult situation.
  5. Thanks everyone... she is a little girl and a joy to behold. she has a beautiful temprement and very adorable...........haha.....beware she will steal your heart. unfortunately, we noticed her cloudy eyes and went to the specialist not hoping to hear........ so in shock, we forgot to ask so many things.... breeder is informed, breed stock is supposedly excellent and tested with no problems. not sure how much he will contribute to the cost of purchase, but definitely not in full. return of dog = refund. or replacement (breeders choice) options 2 and 3 are tempting BUT.........she has stolen my heart and i do not want to make a decision to regret for the rest of my life. so just before i revert to say no return, i wanted to know about her quality of life with or without surgery....... now i understand in the worst case scenario she will have her eyeballs taken out, but will live to enjoy her life. thanks guys. I need to ask regarding the chances of recurrence with the specialist and what happens if no surgery...if anyone can think of what else I should ask the specialist, please let me know.
  6. i am confused. Found = very good specialist Specialist advised success rate = 85% Risk of surgery = Pain to the extent dog has to be put down due to eyeball hardening ?? is this worst case scenario ? probability ? Surgery= not simple. need eyedrops ? not sure for how long and constant monitoring ? Benefits = restored. question - will it recur ? Cost = expensive Colleagues advice = no need as dog will be still healthy but blind. they have blind dogs. Internet = need surgery as dogs eyeballs will harden leading to permanent blindness and pain Return dog = death of dog I am currently monitoring the situation with bi monthly checks at the specialist. seeking real stories and experience now from you all. please give me your ideas thanks! PS: yes she is a puppy
  7. my little bundle of joy of 1 year has been diagnosed as having cataracts... should i send her for surgery ? please share your thoughts. thank you
  8. apart from plastic smelling breath, she is eating, pooping n peeing normal. anyone else have had a similar experience ?
  9. have a puppy arriving soon.......and its been some time for me. i remembered giving them nylabone chicken, but later preferred the ox-tail. does anyone here use nylabone or soup bones from butcher ? need some advice on which one is safe to give to dog and let her have it 24/7 ?
  10. one vet told me nobivac is the new vaccine that is given 2x. however, another vet informed me that the new protocol is 2 vacs. nobivac, fortdodge protech c5 or virbac c5 are all the same. its not that nobivac is more potent than protech both vets are very reputable, which adds to my confusion.
  11. Hi there, Please pm me re groomer recommendations in WA. I am NOR. Thank you.
  12. isnt it c3 for the first vaccine ? my understanding from the vets is that either nobivac or protech is okay for 2nd vaccine, its just that the different vets use different vaccines.
  13. its been a while since puppyhood, but it was always (i) c3, c5 and c5 at roughly 6 weeks, 10 weeks and a month after. now its (ii) c3 at 6 weeks, and a final c3 together with nobivac for kennel cough (making it a c5) at 10 to 12 weeks. or, (iii) a nobivac c5 at 10 to 12 weeks. Which option should i choose ? confused
