  1. lol, The Cavs would be all too willing to get themselves stolen, I'm sure.

Sorry to hear about the loss sunny70.

I won't be going to the next one, but I'll most probably be attending the one in August. It would be great if you could bring your Cav, Freckles. I wonder why Cavs are generally so shy around other dogs, though, and completely the opposite against humans? It just seems a shame for our Cav to never be able to play and run around with other friendly dogs.

  2. thanks, sunny70

in obedience class we woulnt take our eyes off her, in case another dog tried to play too boisterously with her.

if she's not very into the whole offlead with other dogs thing, i coiuld still work on obedience in another area with her i guess. would you be willing to bring your cav along, sunny70?

  3. My little Cav is shy around dogs, and so i was wondering if this kind of thing would be suitable? Socialising seems to be the key, and the dog parks we've been to so far haven't had any dogs >.<. She's crazy for humans, but she gets nervous (tail-between-legs, straight out walking away, etc.) when she meets dogs, especially large ones, and I'm worried about her developing a fear of dogs if one was to paw her or something here...

But then again, she's spoiled and completely mothered around the house, so I'm really not sure. I was hoping to bring her to one of these (the August one, I can't come on the next one) and try and socialise her with some more dogs, as she did start getting a tiny bit more relaxed around the dogs at her adolescent school. And on-leash or off, she moves so slowly around other dogs that we'd be able to catch her anyway. I'm also currently working on sitting, staying down and recall with distractions, and she's pretty good with that... some of the time at least.

So really, I'm asking whether you guys think this meet is suitable for her?
