It is with sadness in our hearts we farewelled one of our Elkie family last night.
She was only 8 months old but has left a hole in our hearts.
Simpatico Heavenly One was a neice to my Boy Cheeky.
I wrote this for her this amid a flow of tears.
I sit by the fireplace tears in my eyes
The memories keep flooding of years gone by
From your first little yap to the deep daunting bark
You were my best friend from dawn until dark.
I sit by the fireplace my hand starts to drop
But your head is not there where once my hand would stop
My heart is breaking I cannot comprehend
Why God would leave me without my best friend
I sit by the fireplace and contemplate why
And then understand why you had to fly
They needed you badly in heaven I guess
To comfort the little ones and they needed the best
I sit by the fireplace fresh tears flowing down
You will always be with me I realise that now
In my heart you will stay for the rest of my life
As I sit by the fireplace and bid you goodbye.
Rest In Peace Little one and run again as you should. We will see you at the Bridge

Been to vet and he can't feel anything more.
So I guess final count is 6 3 Boys 2 Girls and 1 Boy DOA
will Post Pics Later today
Can I add a Huge to Mersonmalinois and Missymoo who were online while the pups were arriving and calmed a very anxious and nervous mum.
And Also how proud I am of my big girl Deedee who did such a great job.
Maya the older sister was also very anxious throughout the night and daddy Cheeky was barking at the window where she was having the pups. I hope he was giving Deedee encouragement lol

We always get the "Look at the Husky" or "Malamute"
When told what our breed is they go "Oh what did they cross to get your dog". It is fun then trying to explain that our guys actually came first.
I had one mother comment on our Elkie being a Husky and when we corrected her she promptly replied "no its a husky". After a slight disagreement she walked away in a huff telling her children it was def a husky and we really didn't know anything
Now I am wondering what i am breeding if they are so certain.
Ah the joys of having our dogs at royals.
I must admit tho the majority of the public do come up and ask what breed we have as they have never seen one like them. The joy of owning a rare breed.

Hoping baby elkies arriving mid October

i can't stop the tears because through a clumsy accident i killed my little 4 wk old kitten buster this afternoon.
We had been struggling with him in the heat as he was so small compared to his brothers and sisters.
An then i tripped and stepped on his poor little head. I am hurting so much
Goodbye my little one mum will see u at the bridge
RIP Buster
