  1. i have a coupl eof littl eones who will go inside my house if i dont let them out the front to toilet, they don tlike the backyard with the other dogs for some reason, so to be sure they wont go in the house i have to let them out the front, so maybe that is all he needs a new toilet area.

  2. I had a little dog PTS about 12 mths ago now, who had IMHA too, she got it and her blood was 12 and she fought back the tough littl enugget she was, she relapsed twice, but eventually got cushings, she lived to approx 12 ( we will never know RSPCA adoptee) and eventually her system started to shut down and she was bleeding from the gums constantly, so we had to put her to sleep. When i was at the vets yesterday with my pup who has suspected menigitis, i saw a little old dog that reminded me of my Rosie, its amazing how much you miss them.

Sorry Group 5 for your terrible loss, there where two when my girl was diagnosed, only my girl sirvived, it is a horrible disease, it does make me question vaccinations.

  3. the puppy was or has been not quite there for a few days, high fever for a day, head tilt, pain on touch, a little wonky when walking, stiff back legs, squinting his eyes, and shying from a head pat. the vet kept him over night, just incase it is lead poisoning but i dont think so, she suggested prednisolone, and some other drug that is immuno suppressant and isnt goot for growing cartilage, but we dont have any other option.

Vet has diagnosed on syptoms alone so far, and if he repsonds to the drugs then there is a simple cheap diagnosis. he will be coming home from vets today, as if its meningitis, theres not much more she can do, so i can do it at home with him, the poor little guy.

Ish thats very interesting, was it by chance Desmo? and what did he turn out like, i always loved him.

  4. Im pretty sure its a bonding thing with the pack, my dogs all do it to each other except the males that is, but the neuters and females groom all the other dogs, eyes ears and mouths, i think its a reconnection thing to confirm the bonds, lions do it also.

  5. His feet are ENORMOUS.. he's going to be a monster.. and no name yet.. I will decide what to call him over the weekend.

Yes BJ we must meet up so you can meet Indira and her widdle brudder  and of course fatfat.. who I can't really call fat anymore cause she reached her goal weight! I'm going to Melbourne to show Indira this weekend and won't be back until Wed but what are your movements next weekend (25th/26th)?

R u going to the mastiff show to meet kathryn on this weekend?

And i have your guy as an avatar cause it is the cutest pic of the millions i have lol.

Is ur guy from bear and Indigo, looks like he is.

  6. Well i just bought a puppy for 2500 and that is almost half price, the real price is 3800 for this breed from this breeder, i didnt believe it but i picked my puppy up and there were 2 other buyers there and they mentioned the price and yes they paid nearly 4000 for their pet puppies.

But having said that this breeder has done alot of travel and learnt a lot about the breed and has imported ALL her stock from ovr seas, and paid for them to be shown to title over seas and other things like that so the price is probably not bad at all, and she doesnt have trouble selling the puppies.

  7. if you are in vic and want to see sparring at its best, come to the fox terrier specialty held on the first weekend of the royal at KCC park, they have the foxy specialty then the foxies are on at the royal a day or so later. I havent been to a foxy specialty yet that they havent sparred, and as all the handlers are OLD they know what sparring is and how to spar their dogs, it is amazing to watch.

  8. Hi im entering my first shows with my tibetan mastiff puppy, and she is still in the breeders name, so for the address i have put care of, my name and address, but whose membership number do i put on the form, mine or the breeders?

  9. It's not just the bacteria but if it's an open wound a dogs rough tongue could open it up more and make it worse, plus wounds should be kept dry to heal faster.

I have really bad eczema on the palms of my hands and one of my boys goes crazy trying to get at them, doesn't mean it's a good idea though.

You must keep a wound moist for it to heal faster.

My dog has licked my small wounds doesnt seem to make it any worse.

My dads dog used to lick his psoriasis on one of his elbows, that elbow was a whole lot better than the other one.

  10. Im unsure why the AI's didnt work but shar pei are a hard breed to breed, if a bitch doesnt want to she wont mate no matter what you do, many bitches wont let a male near them until they are older, i know of one who mated for the first time recently at the age of 4, there is a big breeder who will probably give you plenty of advice if you want there details pm me and i can give them to you.
