Hi All,
I am rehabilitating a small foxy X that I captured recently in the bush. She is doing really well except I am finding it difficult to catch her to pick her up. She will not take food from my hand, no matter how tasty. Would anyone know any behaviourists who have worked with semi feral/ wild dogs? I would love to chat with one. TIA

I remember this cutie last year with Sydney Animal Second Chance. This doggy would have been perfect ......... As you say, looks quite Peke-ish.

The Tibetan Spaniel Rescue Australia Facebook Page lists notices that include Tibbie crosses with rescues/shelters around the country. Some of those can be in the category Tibbie or Peke? So worth keeping an eye there, too.
Thanks Mita. Have checked petrescue but will also look at Tibetan Spaniel Facebook.
PP, here's an example of Tibbie or Peke? Little cutie with a Sydney Rescue last year (& adopted), labelled Pekingese X Tibetan Spaniel.
Has a lot of features favouring Tibbie ... but some Peke-ish, too.
Even some of the purebred Tibbies can have a Peke-ish air about them.

That's a good tip to look at older Pekes being retired to pet homes by breeders via the Home Page.
I also tried Googling 'Pet Rescue Pekingese' as the search can turn up Pekes or crosses currently listed on Pet Rescue. But no luck, a few Peke crosses (but didn't look too much like that to me), all adopted. Could be worth continuing to check, tho'.

I hope the lady finds the Peke which will bring her joy. All of us who love a particular breed, thro' experience, know how much they mean to us.
Thanks Mita. Have checked petrescue but will also look at Tibetan Spaniel Facebook.

Hi Gruf
She is in Sydney, Balmain. I'll have a look at homepage. Thanks

There are two listings here under older dogs for sale. Go to the home page and use the links at the top. They are both in tassie but don't let that put you off. Pre loved Pekes are like hens teeth!
What state is she in. I groom some dogs for a breeder here in SA I can ask

Hi everyone.
I have a lady looking for a rescue Pekingese ....... She adopted one from a rescue I worked with 6 years ago, but he died last week. She is grieving and her Pomeranian is fretting.
Ideas anyone? I'm hoping we can track down a needy Peke........ It will be a fantastic home!!!!
Thanks

Would anyone have any frudix/frusemide tablets 20 or 40mg (that is no longer needed) for an old rescue Shih Tzu dog in care? Also Vetmedin 1.25mg or 2.5mg (tablet can be halved)
It doesn't matter if near use by date. Thanks in advance!!

I have had a maltese with cushings. The tumour was on her adrenal gland. At the time they were trialling medication, but we opted for surgery at Syd Uni where they removed the adrenal gland. The other adrenal gland kicked in and she lived for years. Find out if surgery is a better option.

I have had an email from a lady who has an English Fox Terreir (don't know if he is pure) she needs to rehome him, does any one know if there is a rescue group that may be able to take him.

Hi Maree,
Do you know if he is a Wire Haired Fox Terrier or a Smooth Haired Fox Terrier? I could probably foster him but will need more info. My mother used to breed them so I am experienced with this breed. They are great dogs and very smart. I have just rehabbed three Mini Foxies and I belong to a great rescue organisation in Sydney.

Hi guys,
Its okay this dog has been through all the correct procedures including doing pound time and had veterinary work completed. She is in rescue with an A+++ rescue group. Just wanting to discuss things with a behaviourist. This dog has been bush most of its life as locals in the area know the history. Please don't make more out of this than necessary. A behaviourist is being contacted by the rescue, But I thought I'd ask who people here recommend.
