  1. My first dog i trialled was COSMO my papillion, I started training him when he was a puppy, he won the encouragement ring when he was 2, after his third try at getting a pass ( he knew what he was doing, but i let him down) and then 2 weeks later we entered Novice in 3 comps at Gippsland over a long weekend and he came home with his C.D. title.
  2. O.k. so obviously no one has dogs out there that do silly things when they are meant to be working! Trust Sadie to be the only silly dog
  3. I was just thinking about all the funny (and not so funny(at the time)) stories that have happened while training my beagle, SADIE.Other triallers and dog lovers must have funny stories too, (or maybe you would just rather forget). I have to many to mention tonight, But i'll tell you mine if you tell me yours! During a flyball trial at the Adelade show a few years ago, Sadie ran down, over the jumps, ran out the bunting, straight to where all our crates were set up, jumped on a chair where showbags were sitting, stuck her head in the Darell Lea 'PIG OUT' showbag and started to pig out. That was the end of flyball for that day!
  4. Wasn't that fun . We had soaking wet clothes hanging from the all the ceiling rafters of our cabin. That was my Elvis' first Nationals aswell, he did so well. I remember that nationals as it was Sadies first as well. I also remeber the rain and one handler doing a near nudie run while carrying his now fiance on piggy back up the caravan parks driveway while his clothes were drying at the laundry. We are going to watch the comp on Friday but not competing as i didn't want to risk Sadies performance for the weekend. (Depending on her mood she may not run anyway but i didn't want to push my luck). I think the pairs and single event is a great idea, but i think it should have been held on the Monday not the Friday and then those people that wanted to stay on could have and it would not have interrupted or tired the dogs out for the two day national teams comp.
  5. Hi, i can't wait either, this time in 5 weeks we will have just been to the Australian zoo. What other Vic. teams are going?
