I'm lucky enough to be able to take my boy to work too. He pretty much divides his day between:

- doing his best 'woe is me' eyes at the boss to get some of her morning tea and lunch;

- playing with his SWF friend (the boss' dog); and

- snoozing in his crate.

With some rather undesirable folk often around, I find it very reassuring to have him at work also.

The only downsides to having him at work...having folk tell me about their BYB litters / suggesting I breed him with their dog / asking how much RR's "go for" (with little dollar signs popping up in their eyes )

In my previous place I had the Staywell type dog door - can't remember size but the 'flap' the dogs went through was about A4 paper size, or a smidge bigger. It was installed in the solid laundry door and came with a hard white plastic insert you could close it off with.

None of my RR's ever had trouble getting through it. A staffy and huskies also used it with no probs - tho was a bit of a leap for the staffy

My ridgeback post-swamp romping...the swamp mud somehow 'embedded' itself in her skin...took three shampoo scrubs to get it out...and boy did it STINK ! LOL

It is now listed on Nine MSN as one of the front page stories...
