  3. great replies here i didnt mean to start something though, just was questioning the reasons behind it.

it sounds like it costs a lot of money to begin a club and create an indorr facillity i see this, but surely there are exsisting indoor areas willing to rent out there facilities. i dont know im just sirt of thinking out aloud.

thanks to all who commented was very interesting about the council permits. what does the council have to do with it though?? i mean if its your property? any takers?

  4. wouldnt this be amazing to have in melbourne Vic

i mean how hard could it be to find an old barn and spruce it up!

yes people "build it and they will come"

    http://www.agilityvision.com/our-facility

why does it seem america can have indoor facilities all over the place but there is a demand for training here in Aus!

this would be a great investment for somebody with a field or barn!

just think your own training facility and you can charge people to use it!

    hold your own trials!

why is there such a demand for agility training centres yet nobody is doing anything about it?

  5. hello i was just wondering who here has some fun games that a group obedience class can play?

im beginning to find my classes very mundane and if i could suggest something to spruce it up that would be great

    thanks for any ideas.

at the moment we just do

-sit, drop, stand group stays including indian file

    -fetch

    -figure of eight

    -recalls

    -out of sight stay

-and weaving in between cones both handler up and dog only on way back.

    thanks

  6. hi i was just wondering if any of you knew of anyone who takes private agility classes in the north melbourne area

if so can you please PM me or leave me some details

    thanks so much

also if you know of any clubs that are perhaps only new

i know of all the major ones but maybe there is just a meetup group or something!!

    thanks

  7. just wondering if any of you maybe have some inside information or could shed some light on when dock dogging in victoria could take off?

this sport looks like so much fun! i have been following it for a while from america! think it would be a great sport to add to our collection in australia and would be very popular :o

  8. hey i was wondering if anybody here competes in NADAC agiltiy?

i was hoping you could answer a few of my questions

    1. do they run multiple rings at one time

    2. are the venues enclosed? fenced?

    3. how much a run would cost?

thanks im just considering it at this point in time

  9. They actully paid a fortune to bring that flooring in from the USA, supposedly the best stuff available. But the dogs in Australia (except a few in SA) have never run on indoor material, so that may have been a factor. That flooring is now being sent to the UK to be used in the World Dog Games (UK).

yea its probably because we dont have any indoor arenas as compared to America who has tonnes! we should get some indoor arenas in melbourne and around australia
