Stonecutter of you aren't sleeping in your gazebo there is room out the back field to set up a camp site. You may find a parking spot that will be suitable for cling at too of you look around the car parks. GlodenWei there are 14 and then 15 goldens on Saturday.

When I got my show dog I upgraded to a stationwagon from a sedan. With hubby and 2 skin kids in the car the cargo area soon became over crowed when the second dog joined us and we started doing camp out shows so we bought a 6 birth trailer. We packed ALL the show and camping gear in 2 births and I used the other births for not only my 2 dogs but the extra 1 or 2 I would take away to show for the breeder aswell.
When it was only me and the dogs for a weekend away I could lay down the back seats and sleep in the back of the car during the cooler months or if it rained and the dogs were all safe and warm in the trailer overnight.
After our last wet weekend away my hubby refused to camp out again until our accommodation was more water proof. We now own a caravan and the dogs are back in the back of the stationwagon. But I still have the trailer for 1 day only shows or camp outs where only I go.
ETA: My show team has also just grown to 4 so the trailer is a definite must have for local shows for now

Hi guys
just wondering if anyone on here has been to the new grounds and can tell me if there is space for camping in a caravan? I've tried calling the numbers listed for the cataloguer several times but still no answer.
I have booked a spot in the caravan park but if I can set up at the grounds I would much prefer to do that, I just don't want to be caught out with a caravan and nowhere to park it.
I'm also a little excited as this is the first show we will be taking our caravan to and I can't wait to try it out

I don't, sorry
How was the show? I forgot to get my entries in on time. Do you know who did well in the ACD's?
BOB Ch. Yaringah Lover Boy (Hickey / Storm and Kombinalong Knls)
RUBOB ?? I was racing back to the gazebo LOL!
Baby Kombinalong Age of Reason
Minor Pavesi dog? who also won Minor in show
Puppy again I missed this one
Junior Littlewaco Lucia
Inter another missed one
Ausbred also missed this one
Open as per BOB
Sorry not actually all that informative was it

It was incredibly wet and the 4 unlucky groups outside did well to turn up presentably inside for GS.
The lovely Bouv was spruced up once undercover and went on to win BIS.
As for me, I was questioning my decision to stay once I got there but I'm glad I did as my sweet ACD Junior bitch went Junior in show making it so worth the mud and rain.
It was a great day all round and those of us mad enough to stay appeared to have fun and all was over and done with by 1pm.
I'm truly glad it wasn't a double that I'd entered and planned on camping at though. I wouldn't have liked sleeping in ankle deep mud ;)

in December last year I took on a new bitch to show. She is now 8mths old and after a few shows in December has already made her presence felt in the line up.
We kicked off the new year at the Wollondilly show winning a nice 10point BCC and RuBOB (to her litter brother), then took out Minor Puppy in Show .
I'm really looking forward to running around rings with this little girl and her dad who is also a new addition to my show team.

sorry guys I shouldn't have brought this here. I am shattered at reading some things said about me and Matt in another thread and just felt I owed you all an apology.
-
no just the ones I own PC remember.
-
to those who I sat with on Saturday afternoon waiting for GS to start.
I am truly sorry I ever put you or your dogs in danger of attack by my boy Matt. It was a serious lack of my judgment to ever think his play bow and skipping was actually a sign of wanting to PLAY
I have been set straight now and will never put any of your dogs in danger of being eaten by the vicious beast.

Congrats to everyone with new pups and those who get their pups soon. to those still waiting for the mating. I feel your pain.
I was invited to a BBQ at my breeders place last night and we had a great evening with a fellow showie and the breeder. We also got to play with 5 week old puppies (cause they NEED socialization at this age you know ).
Anyway, as the night went on and we chatted about how well my boy is doing, I was asked if I would like to take another pup on. The smile still hasn't left my face.
It's not from the litter on the ground now, but from a bitch who is due in heat fairly soon. So now my wait is on for the bitch to come on heat. Hence the fact I really do feel your pain waiting LOL!
I love this bitch, she is stunning and throws to-die-for pups (she is actually my boys mum too ). The father-to-be is also a lovely dog and we can't wait for the litter to happen. There are very high hopes with this pairing and now I can share in their hopes too, even if it is for selfish reasons now )
So roll on winter. It should bring some pretty heart warming joy.
-
well you have to give me enough notice if you don't go PC. or will you still come and just watch?
You know if she doesn't go IN the ring you'll never know if she stood a chance either.
-
Thanks Guys, I'm still grinning
Aziah, it was VERY warm out there today and I wouldn't have traveled either if it wasn't as close as it is. But it ended as a really good day with good results for a few people I know. So we all had a good day.
The Ark, nice pup. Hope to see you in the ring soon.

I am still melting even though we have the AC on and have been home for over an hour now.
Matt scored a new chamois cool coat too but I was very reluctant to hand it over after feeling its cooling power myself LOL!
Oh and I'm extremely proud of my young man. I'm always nervous handling infront of the breeder but today was such a buzz. With an entry of 28 ACDs, Matt went into the ring to win Minor Dog. We lined up and I was convinced we wouldn't get a look at as the open dog was awarded DCC before I even reached the stacking line up. So in came the replacement open dog. Around we went and suddenly I felt the judge looking at us. She then awarded Matt ResDCC over the older dogs. I was on cloud nine.
We watched the bitches go roung and then I handled Matts sister in the BCC line up. My breeder picked up BCC with her gorgeous girl. Matts sister missed out but I was still happy.
So in went the DCC and BCC dogs. The dog picked up a nice win and I went cold realising I was now up against my breeder with her older lovely girl.
Matty was awarded RUBOB and you could have knocked me over with a feather. That RUBOB will live with me now for a long time and I'm SOOO pleased his breeder was there to see it for herself. It just reinforced for both of us that he IS as good as we think he is, even without a face on the end of the lead.

The Foxy was BISS, BIS, Aust Grd Ch Wyninebah Checkmate (Bobby) but I have no idea who the Saluki was sorry.
-
if he is well behaved and you can conroll him on a normal collar, by all means it is fine. While you are learning it shouldn't matter what the lead looks like. You just need control of the dog so you can concerntrate on what YOU should be doing.

GoldieGirl, Luci started up her classes from last Week. So you would be set to come and check it out this week before your pup arrives if you so wish.
Luci encourages newbies using a non show dog to get used to rather than confussing a brand new show pup while you sort yourself out first. She also encourages pups coming as soon as you can even just to socialize. So it's up to how you feel about bringing a young dog out. We see 9-10 week old pups turning up a lot lately who just sit ring side to get a feel of being around a group of all sorts of different breeds.
Oh and congrats on your new pup. I hope to see you out at Lucis as Poocow and I go together with our dogs.
-
yes it was Marcus and he showed his butt off for a great win
-
oh I feel a BOB coming up for 2 of the members of Team Triple M
Such a shame that it is such a small entry for such a good cause. What you didn't tell me PC was there are NO labs even Unbelievable
