  1. I started one of the cavs on TOTW a few weeks ago. Her coat has actually really deteriorated on it - but that being said, she has been very sick lately and has started a new medication at a similar time. So its hard to say whether its the food, her illness, or the medication causing her coat to go... I'm going to transition someone else onto ToTW too, to see how they react. Hoping it will be good, because I've had good success with canidae in the past and was hoping this would be just as good.

  2. I just tried downloading the documents to my computer, rather than viewing them on the website, and I can see them.

So when I viewed the PDFs directly through my browser, just had ???????, but when I opened them through adobe on my computer, it worked fine.

I am on an apple-mac and I use safari browser, if this helps.

  3. Thanks for all the replies guys! I went down the paddock tonight when it had cooled down a little and took my Isqueak with me - and honestly it was a different dog weaving to a few days ago :( Apparently the incentive went right up when the ball came out so I have been a bit of a bad trainer and clearly haven't been making sure I've been using the *best* rewards all the time. I think I got a bit slack because I have always trained the cavaliers with food, and Spice will work for ANY toy so I forget that some are better than others. Slap on the hand for me.

I will now go back to building up the reinforcement on the weaves so that she will maintain that sort of speed and enthusiasm - I hope.

I am happy with the 2x2 method in general- nobody who watched Spice weave (even the other day when I made my post) would have said she is slow - I just knew she could do BETTER which is what she showed me today. I trained Muffin (first cavalier) with the old luring in and out method and she is slow/steady but fairly reliable. I trained Oscar with guides and he is faster but a bit less reliable.

It probably isn't a fair comparison because my cavaliers just aren't that interested in agility, they enjoy it but its not the best part of their day. Spice seems to live for agility so would probably have come out with good weavers regardless of which method I chose. I can't say yet whether I will use 2x2 again in the future, if Spice continues to work better for the Isqueak (or other toy I find) and I can transfer that speed in the trial ring then I will probably use 2x2 again but focus more on speed early on. Hindsight is a wonderful thing I suppose :)

I will try to get a video of her weaving in the next few days and put it up.

ETA: AgilityDogs CK looks so happy in the trial ring :) I look forward to seeing some more footage of his weaving as he keeps improving

  4. Hmmm 2011...

    Muffin:

Provided she shows me she is still keen to work and isnt quite ready to retire,

-I would like to get her back into the obedience ring for at least one trial and see if she likes it better than the last time we trialled in obedience (somewhere around 2005 I think :( )

    - SPDX Title (needs 2 more passes)

    - SDX Title (needs 3 more passes)

    Oscar

    - JDM title?? Needs 3 passes

    - ADM passes (only has one so far :( )

    - SDX and SPDX titles

    Spice

    - Start trialling!

    - AD and JD title hopefully

    Me:

Somehow manage to run 3 dogs at trials :(

  5.:( ;) :p I picked up my camera bag and didnt realise I had left it open.. BANG canon 400D that I've had a few years went splat on the floor.

There is a big crack across the flash (and the word canon)... the flash wont open, all my pictures are completely dark even if I take them in a very bright room where no flash is needed.

What do you think the chances are I can get it fixed for less than the price of a new camera ;)
