    Does anyone know if Hawkesbury Wholesale Pet Foods is open on Sundays and if they are, what time? I have enough BH to last me through this week but I'll need some more next week and since we're at the royal on saturday, I'm trying to find somewhere I can get it from quickly.

    I've emailed a distributor in Sydney too but I kind of want a backup plan, especially if I'm running low at any point.

    Hi Tara,

    Glad she is enjoying it, our 7 dogs inhale it too, although the greyhound does tend to take a little longer with it, but the staffords it is gone within seconds of giving them their food bowls. Looking forward to hearing how Abbey goes on it.

    TRAVELLING TO SOFALA TO SHOW THIS WEEKEND 26TH FEBRUARY

    Due to the closure of Erskine Park this weekend, the shows are now being held at the Castle Hill Show Grounds. Anyone picking up their kibble from me, I will email you all personally and let you know the change, but if anyone else wishes to get some Black Hawk, just let me know and i will make sure that I have it with me at the show.

    Does anyone know where the best place is to get black hawk in sydney, im coming down next week from blue mountains into the city so anywhere also that route i can stop. Also would it be suitable for a 4 month Labrador pup? She has been on proplan but i havent been satisfied by it, she hasnt got much left now so if i could work out if black hawk would be suitable and slowy move her over to the black hawk.

    Just a heads up to any south east VIC DOLers feeding BH. OAKLEIGH PRODUCE is selling 20kg of Adult for $75 (maybe that's old news). Made me happy!

    Only has 3kg bags of Cat so far ($22).

    There seems to be a few outlets selling BH in Vic, are there any in the Sydney area?

    We give our 30kg greyhound 4 cups of puppy kibble everyday. And our stafford male who weighs about 19kg gets almost 3 cups a day. We feed our dogs blackhawk only we don't add anything extra to their meals.

    my 11 months been on BH for a while now, He looks alot lean than other rottys around. Not sure if i should feed him more, he gets Raw and 2-3 Cups of BH, how much is a usually standard cup? Not sure if im feeding him in the right direction.

    Hi Scruffy,

    Yes BlackHawk is a complete diet, so technically you shouldn't feed anything else with it. The same can also be said for all the other premium kibbles available today. People still feed meat and other extras with those as well. In the end I think it comes down to what you want to do with your animals, we stopped feeding ours any meat with their kibble almost 2 years ago now, however they do have a thick meaty bone 3 times a week too.

    Hmmmm not sure I know of anyone who has Greys on it, they are not very common around here though.

    Tried it on my two greys - one wouldn't eat it and the other vacuums her food and gagged on it as the kibble is tiny tiny in size. Also tried it on a foster - same problem with the gagging. Mostly feed raw, but when I do give them kibble I want something of a size they can have a bit of a crunch on to slow them down.

    We have our retired greyhound on BH. When he was racing he was fed a diet consisting of 600g of meat and about 1 1/2 cups of kibble. He is now only fed BH kibble which is soaked before being fed. Originally we started him off on BH Adult but he is now on BH Puppy. The only reason for feeding him Puppy is we can feed him less and still maintain his weight. Granted the kibble is small in size but he has never had any problems with gagging. His coat looks better now than it ever has.

    Would black hawk be okay for puppies? I also would need to find out about getting it to orange.

    BH is great for puppies, they not only do the adult formula but they also have an excellent puppy kibble. For a breakdown of the puppy kibble, go to blackhawkpetcare.com.au

    As for getting it to orange,the only options available (that I am aware of) are picking it up in sydney or paying for it to be couriered up to you.

    I've been doing some reading on BH and am liking what I see. Where would be the closest distributor to Orange, nsw? ( sorry if this has been addressed, I too lazy to search through 80+ pages! lol)

    My husband is in the process of designing our webpage. During the Christmas period we are not showing due to having a litter of pups. However more than happy to drop off at either Erskine Park or Castle Hill during this time. Will make sure that the webpage displays what shows we will be at in the future.
