  1. Thanks BC Crazy for your kind words and offer of assistance.

    I really really appreciate it.

I have confirmed our visit this weekend! My son is so excited it was quite difficult in getting him to sleep tonight

Here is the latest pic of him - almost 6 weeks! (Photo is from the breeder) :)

  2. Oh how exciting dogsforjane!

I bet it will be a hard nights sleep tonight.

Yep I am totally overloaded with info and you are right there are definitely some contradictions out there! Just going to try my best I suppose.

That's pretty much exactly my situation - I'm pretty sure 11 weeks will be fine, there is not much else I can do except socialising him with other things like people etc and starting some basic training myself. :o

Hope this day flies by for you! Make sure to post some pics. :D

  3. Thanks Sujo! Definitely in countdown mode in this house at the moment.

You really don't have long to go either! Can't wait to see pics of your little one. :D

Are you going for a visit anytime soon?

Oh my goodness I am exactly the same with researching and puppy shopping. My OH has taken to hiding our iPad so I stop!!

Puppy school is my biggest worry at the moment - seems as though a lot of the places where I want to go start their classes the week before Remy comes home which means waiting at least 4 weeks until the next one starts - too long for my liking. I'm sure it will figure itself out but I am so concerned with proper socialisation and starting training early! :o

People are definitely sick of hearing me talk about it all - that's why I have turned to my fellow dol'ers. At least everyone on here understands the excitement! :D

  4. What a brilliant day we had today!

Nice sunny (extremely hot) weather for our drive down the coast.

Remy is absolutely perfect. He is quiet, calm and loved cuddles and the little toy we took for him.

I am even more in love with him! For the first time today I saw the excitement building in my OH and 3yo son - it was so great to see.

The breeder is so nice and has kindly said we can go back in another two weeks to see him again. The photo is actually courtesy of the breeder as unfortunately after all of the cuddles etc it really was getting too hot for little Rem and we decided to take some next time to give him a break.

We also met Remy's mum and dad and they are the most placid well behaved dogs I have seen in a long time - which is great!

My son cried and cried when it was time to leave which was really sweet - he has previously been quite afraid of dogs both big and small so it was quite a relief to see him interact with all of the dogs and pups today without any fear.

Jules your little girl is so gorgeous - love the pic!! How adorable. :D

  5. You sound just like me Remy !! lol all i talk about on my fb atm is about Miah hehe

yes 2 more sleeps to go wohoooo! are you taking anything with your to the breeder's place? I have decided I am just going take some gift wrapped choccys for the breeder as a token gift for her being so nice sending us updates and pics of her litter and Miah :)

when will you get to bring him home? how old is he atm, i have forgotten if you said previously in this thread.

Haha! Yep FB friends haven't been spared!

We are taking a "thank you" gift also and a small toy for Remy - can't help myself.

He is 4 weeks at the moment so fingers crossed only 4 to go :crossfingers:

I had a peek at your blog too! It's so great and little miah is just gorgeous - beautiful name! :D

  6. Hi Jules!

Oh yay someone else who knows the unbearable torment of waiting another 5 weeks!!

We have pics of him but I will post some after we visit.

I was reading (maybe on DOL) that it can be a good idea to take something with your smell on it to leave with the pup when you visit? I have bought him a small snuggle blanket that I have been keeping in our lounge room and am wondering if it's a good idea or if the breeder won't like it? Decisions decisions...I don't want to come across as too eager (although I'm pretty sure my OH thinks I've gone completely dog crazy!) :D

Fingers crossed you get to meet your little girl very soon!

  7. Hi everyone!

I have been silently stalking this thread and reading about all of your beautiful puppies that are on their way.

Currently I am waiting for my little border collie boy to be ready to join our family. He is lilac and white and super cute! Cannot wait for the breeder to say its okay to visit.

We are planning on calling him Remy.

Only 5 more weeks to go! :D
