Ok, so today Tyrion had surgery. He was desexed and had his rear dew claws removed too. One of his bandages for his rear claw came off? Should I be concerned or will it be ok?

I have Pembroke Corgi's and young children, they've been fantastic pets and great with the kids.

Thanks everyone! Will, have a look at Petstock :)

So, for the last few months my dogs have been on Applaws which they've done quite well on. I went to buy a bag today cause i'm almost out and my local supermarket doesn't stock it anymore. The price tag was there with a "reduced to clear" so i'm worried they're not going to get it in again? I went to another supermarket close by and they also didn't have it. I know foods are meant to be changed over slowly but what do I do in this case? Also, what do I change to? The last food I had them on was Black Hawk and Tyrion did terribly on it. He was really greasy, loosing fur, not putting on weight etc.

I def agree with the comments on getting a breed you want to live with and show that. I don't show, but if I ever did I wouldn't have to question breed at all. It would be Pembroke Corgi hands down. I just LOVE the breed, I've had them for a good portion of my life and I love living with them. They're def my breed of choice. :)

Friends of mine had a Great Dane x St Bernard and a pug. They got along fantastically!

Im wanting a karma collar too! lol
If you want the Westeros one for Tyrion you have to order quick, apparently the company is no longer making the right studs for them!
*Enabling*
Aw no. Dont say that, really don't have the spare $$ right now.

I really hope we get some decent leash laws here. We desperately need them, but with it we do need some decent off leash areas.
In Victoria local councils are responsible for leash laws. What council are you in that has no leash laws? The City of Monash where I live has leash laws and plenty of large off leash parks.
Ballarat.

I'd guess boxer X something, maybe staffie mix or AmStaff. Given the location, American bulldog seems exotic.
Personally, I miss the old days when dogs were allowed to wander. But there has to be some way to deal with the small fraction of dogs who attack people or other animals.. . .or, rather, with their owners.
It's an American Bulldog (southern). There are thousands of them here. They have been here for years. Some are registered with the registry in US, some are byb.
Whatever it was, that wasn't the problem. The problem was that it was wandering around without a lead and without anyone in control. If the shire doesn't have lead laws, they should have. And the owner of this dog should be fined.
Jed the rangers and the council are trying to bring in leash laws with designated areas for dogs to be off leash but there are a number of people who have said that they will not put their dogs on leash.....I hope that the law is brought in for dogs to be on leash except for those areas that they do not have to be.....one of the areas is down near a pony club which is ridiculous as there is no fencing and I am sure some dogs will have great pleasure in chasing the horses....it is still being decided at the moment so we are waiting to hear what the council are planning to do :)

Is there a bad journalism award that can be given to that article. Nothing about it is credible. It doesn't even give the date the thing happened! Could have been years ago and dragged up to spice up a slow news day.
"Gary Simpson, senior crown prosecutor with the Mersey-Cheshire Crown Prosecution Service, said Sulley and Woods should have time to reflect on their actions."
So what happened? Did they get fined? Jail time? What were they found guilty of? Or did they get let off on the basis that thinking about the awful day.
They got 12 months in jail I believe. Guilty of Animal cruelty.
I'd never heard of a Presa until this article.

Sounds like it had more problems than just being hungry.
My thoughts exactly!

Does anyone else find it difficult to believe that a dog that has gone without food for two days would eat someone alive?!?
This seems a rather extreme reaction, I would think something else has gone on here!

For those of you who followed my journey with adding Finnigan (whippet puppy) to our family last year, it breaks my heart to have report that our darling boy was killed in a freak accident on Saturday afternoon. He had only just had his first birthday (27 April) and had grown into the most stunning boy. He was our world - and our life is so empty without him. Fin had come down with me when I was feeding the horses and unfortunately got kicked by one of them. He died within about 5 minutes.
Make the most of every day you have with your furkids - they are with us for such a short time - in our case much to short
That is so sad. What a terrible loss. Deepest condolences.
Oh no I missed this. What an awful loss. Thinking of you.

Hi everyone! Its been a while!
Can't believe how big everyone's babies are getting! Wow!
Tyrion recently turned one, and here is the handsome devil. Now he just needs to fill out, I don't think he'll get much taller or longer. :)

I will get her to the vet next week. Thanks everyone :)
I wouldn't need to worry about cutting a tail hole as she is a pembroke corgi and she was born before docking was illegal so was docked as a pup.

Are they a thing?
I'm currently dog-sitting my parents older (14 year old) corgi. However, I grew up with this dog when I was living at home, and I have more time than my parents do to devote to her, and she loves the company of my other dog and kids so my parents have said that if I want to I can have her permanently because she seems much happier when she is here. She used to be house trained - but obviously with age sometimes comes other issues, my Mum did warn me not to have her inside to often as she as trouble continence issues. We would prefer that she come in regularly and be with us all. She came in tonight and had 3 accidents in the space of an hour - but I figure that she probably also just getting use our routine and house etc. However, if is an ongoing issue is there doggie diapers that she can wear when she comes in of an evening? or another option so that I don't have to keep cleaning my carpet, and she can come in and enjoy family time with the rest of us?

Good on you for standing up for the dog! My kids, having grown up with pets from the day they were born wouldn't even *think* to do something like this. They're much more respectful than that!
Some people are idiots!

I had the same problem when toilet training Tyrion! Really hard to see if he was peeing when he was so low to the ground. lol but, after a while I got to know his particular posture if he was going to the toilet! I'd say your doing wonderfully! We had a lot of accidents here in the early days!

Ezio is settling in, he tries to act like a spoilt brat but is learning things don't go his way. It is difficult to train him to walk because he hates being in the sun too long and most times he walks for 5 seconds then flops onto the ground and just lays there - he gets hot too easy and even late afternoon is too warm for him. He is picking up the sit very well, I might start introducing a verbal soon for sit since he is responding well to the hand signal, his drop still needs a lure however, I think I might need to train him to follow my hands more.
He seems to prefer outside, probably because he gets to sleep on cold tiles compared to a slightly warm house so I have allowed him to sleep outside when he does now and then, it is good because he will only be allowed access to the laundry and yard when we go to work and then free roam when we get home (not for a long time, he won't be allowed out of his puppy pen inside until way past his chewing phase!) so he gets used to being alone for a little bit.
For walking just attach his leash to him and let him run around the house with it on. Don't hold it - then he will be use to it in no time at all! :)

Nova now has an infected paw and suspected grain allergy
Oh no

So, this is day four of Tyrion being on his medication, and he'll get his second bath for the week today. The good news he is already improving. He isn't itching anywhere near as much, he doesn't smell as much and he feels much nicer to cuddle and pat. I also had the vet double check his testicle when we were there last time, as it was still undecended, well it has decended but not into the scrotum, the vet said it is in the groin area next to his leg, which if left can cause complications. So, in the new year he will most certainly be desexed and at the same time have his rear dew claws removed.
