I love Portia and China...
But I'm thinking of naming my next girl Bailey after a lovely old Puggie girl.
-
Yep QM it is - it has a fringe and is a tartan type check. They come up 2nd hand quite frequently on Ebay cheaply - usually between $25 and $30 + postage. I usually just search 'Onkaparinga rug', I think. And they are lovely and thick and warm and Australian made - it so nice to not be fighting over the only one here!
Thanks, they're a good price. I was just checking them out :)
I just have a summer doona and in winter I chuck a woollen blanket on top.
-
Of course you can help, but it will be a bit longer because I'm not getting them all at once.
And I won't have Mason until April next year.

Actually, maybe it's March. Anyway, it's ages away.

Love Matthew!! What a great name MUP!! Reminds me of my cat named Mark!! Come to think of it that would be a great name for a pug too!!
The only problem is I'm going to have two boys and two girls :)
(I'm not going to be a breeder though; they will be desexed.)
-
I do believe the 'Masons' have it!!! Actually I think either name would be great - but calling out Mason would be better than JR so Mason wins it for me too. Beautiful beautiful dog!!
I voted Mason. :)
Thanks for your input :)
I'm tempted to have another Bailey's to celebrate but I can't... I'm too full from my pizza
-
Is it called an Onkaparinga travel blanket? I might get one. Very nice.
-
Happy Anniversary Mac!
Awwww, what a lovely blankie :)
-
Definitely the name Mason :) very suited to a pug!
Yes, I think so too! :)
I'm thinking of calling my next female Pug Bailey, after an 18 year old female Pug who has begun to show signs of leaving this world.
Mason and Bailey... Sounds good, doesn't it?
-
I love pugs and I love the name Mason
Thanks! Pugs rule! :)
-
Jay Are (JR) would be harder to yell out/call during training plus seeing it written down people would prob assume Junior (Jr).
I like Mason -- also like Perry Mason! :)
Yes, that's true :)
-
I don't have a photo of the father but he's my Pug Grover's brother...
Here is a photo of Grover
And here is a photo of the mum (Grover's mum's great, great grand-daughter)
Mason is going to be the cutest Pug ever! :)
-
I love the name Mason!
My vote is for Mason too. :)
I have always wanted a Pug called Mason (because of Mason from A Pug's Voice), and deep in my heart I know that's what I want, so I'm going to call him Mason :D
Thanks very much for your help :)
-
I had to stop watching, it made me cry.
I think it's too soon after Grover's death. I'm not ready for an emotional dog film.

Pleasure...
BTW, not saying that you aern't... But if you are not up with the lingo that the plunbers and irrigators talk, Just take some nice in focus pics of the underneath of your sink. more the merrier.. Should turn into a much easier experience for you if you require that little bit of help... I knew a bit about plumbing, and I could have done with the pics too....
That's a good idea, thanks :)
-
Awesome! Thanks very much for that! :)
-
Love the name Mason!
So cute!
but either is fabulous :)
Thanks! :)
I also like the name Mason because I used to follow a blog called A Pug's Voice, which was 'written' buy a Pug called Mason. Dear Mason has since passed away and I thought of naming my Pug after him.
-
Mason is my vote.
I perceive JR as a name for a dog which is bigger than the pug.
Then again.............
Both are good choices.
:D
I know what you mean but I like the idea of having a Pug with a big personality, so either name would be fine with me :)
-
I've narrowed my favourite names down to Mason and JR... But of course, I will wait until I meet my new Pug puppy.
Which name do you like best?
Mason, after the late British actor James Mason who is most known for his role as Phillip Vandamm in Alfred Hitchcock's "North by Northwest".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_by_Northwest
Or JR, after ruthless but lovable oil tycoon JR Ewing, played by Larry Hagman, in "Dallas".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dallas_(1978_TV_series)
I like both and I can't decide.

I have never drank any town/scheme water, totally disgusting. The town water down here is terrible and smells much like the indoor pool when you walk in.
We have rain water and I have had it since birth.
I can smell the chlorine when I have a shower.
-
Maybe I should get a rainwater tank at my next house?
-
I recently an undersink water filter to my place...
If you already have a standard flick-mixer fitted... You probably can too..
Total cost of filter, housing, two adapters, one extension hose and that white plumbing tape was $70.00 all up...
Treats 40 litres a day for a year in terms of volume.
Filters are 19.00 ea and last 6 months... 5 Micron and improves taste and odor..
Takes 20-30 Mins or so to fit..
Waters is much better than the Bris Tap water, but the same convenience...
Refill bottles, Kettle, cooking...
Thanks, I will investigate this :)

Interestingly with our pups we have seen a huge upswing in the retention of baby teeth, especially canine teeth, in the last 10 or so years when we moved from rural properties to properties with town supply water. our two latest litters we used tank water (rain water) for all puppy drinking water right from the time they could investigate mum's water bowl. The oldest of the two litters are now 4.5 months old and their teeth are falling out and chipped/broken like they used to be in the 'good old days' LOL.
Co-incidence?
That's very interesting!

Doesn't tap water have fluoride and other nasty stuff like bacteria in it?
Depends on whether you think fluoride is "nasty". It's certainly done wonders for the teeth of generations of kids. You can always just get a Brita filter jug.
I've got one. I just need to buy a new filter :)
eta
Oh I remember what happened... I washed it in the dishwasher and now the lid doesn't fit properly. I have to buy a new one.

Those ceramic jugs look nice. I might get one of them.
I've Narrowed It Down To Two Names

Yeah, that was easy
Mason, Bailey and Portia (and another boy's name). Adorable!
