  1. Not in Australia, but i paid 1000 euro for a well bred rare breed. He went on to become a multi ch and the only one ever of his breed to get placings in groups in Netherlands and Germany.. So cheap does not mean bad quality;) Think alot also depends on what the costs are in your country for certain things. In Scandinavian countries the costs for the vet are alot higher then what they would be where i live, and i often see pups there also cost alooot more..and stud fees in some breeds are also alot higher

  2. I have a Co own Dog. I met the breeder through a dutch Dog forum when she just had her puppy from america. we became friends and i said i wanted a daughter from her puppy in the future;) i saw how it went with her other Co own dog, Mother of my girl and decided i would also like that. So i got to Be at the birth of my pup and was very involved in the litter, we always go to shows together also and plan everything together. If i cant go, no problem and she can also just take my Dog with her. I also do hunting training so i dont want a litter and shows in hunting competition season. Also fine:) we Will do max 2 litters and i want a pup from the second litter. She knows what males i like so she Will choose one that will Be a good match for Ivy and that i really like;) Ivy Will have her first litter next week and it has been all great. She Will go to the breeders house friday, that is only 30minutes away.. And i Will puppysit at least twice a week. Cant wait till they are born! If i keep a

Daughter in the future i Will def would do Co own again.

  3. If I had the time and could take it off work and my bitch was going back to the breeder for a litter I would be there, tent or humpy. It would be such a valuable learning experience.

This is me also. :D I got my dog outright after she had retired from breeding but if she had to ever go back for another litter (impossible now she's desexed) you bet I will be there, tent, sleeping bag, elbow deep in blood, poo, placentas and all. So much to learn and wisdom to gain!!!

I have my Dog as a Co own, and i'm a very happy co owner;)

Next week she Will have her first litter at the breeders home, who is also a friend of mine and off course i Will Be there and i Will puppysit twice a week. Looking forward to it.

Everything we talk About, what shows we do together etc.. And i do hunting training with my Dog so no shows or a litter in the competition season;) thats all fine! And if everything Goes Well we do a second litter and then i Will keep one and i would do Co own with the breeder again cause i love this experience;) dont want a litter yet myself in my home so now i can learn everything

  4. I have one Dog who is just slow with everything she does so she takes a while but the rest always comes when i call. I never really trained alot with that, only the weim for hunting training but they just know it. Always walk off leash with walks, in safe areas off course, not near a road cause thats just stupid;)

  5. i live in the netherlands so its different here. I dont know how your retrieving trials are..

And i also do triple retrieves and yes with blinds its off course easier and you can do it yourself but i also want to do like a marking on sound so i need someone to shoot;) that is easier with the training and if i'm by myself i just do the Things i can prepare myself.
