  1. I hope a breeder will help them. She said her hubby spoke to a lovely lady on the phone it's hard for them as they have had Zac for 14 years and it's all new to them I have a great realationship with my girls breeder I'm very lucky so I hope they find someone like her.

  2. Thanks BC crazy that's very helpful my sister got Zac from a pet shop many as mentioned he was 14 she saw him on the Monday and went back the Friday he was still there so brought him and you know what I am against Byb and pet shops and people can flame me if they like but he was the most special well behaved smart loving dog you could ask for such a big part of our family not just my sisters as she traveled a lot as she's a flight attendant my parents had him when she was away so heart breaking for them.. So thanks for the suggestion I have past it on she is not set on one breed and doesn't want to rush.

  3. My sister lost her Maltese last week he's was 14 and she is upset but the house is so lonely with out him and her 5 and 2 yr old missing him she is due to have baby number 3 in September so didn't want to have a new born and puppy at same.. They saw this breed while in Europe and her hubby suggested it to her I've never heard of them so thought I would ask anyone has one where could she find a breeder to speak to about them etc I'm trying to help her, she would like to save a dog don pound but is worried about back ground having small kids.

She had a mini labradoole on her list I have talked her out of that one. Well I hope!

  4. Hi everyone,

we were given some tinned food when we brought our dog dry few weeks back hubby has just picked it up as they ran out of stock anyway my dogs have never had tinned food before and i was wondering does anyone feed there dogs the pro plan tinned food, not sure if i want to give it to them or just donate it to a local rescue.

  5. Hi I have had my girls collie roughs on proplan dog dry and adding tin tuna or raw chicken wings every other day been on the dry for 2 mths almost they seem to be doing well coats good, not scratching (they were on crap dry for a while) and they seem to love eating it Lilly has started farting well we think its her I stopped the tuna and chicken for a few days to see if it was the dry and she is till doing it do you think it's the dog dry?? I thought I had done the right thing putting them on it just don't know what to do have I given it long enough to see changes etc

  6. I know this has been talked about many imes which dry is better than others etc but was wondering about pro plan I brought some over the weekend and my girls are loving it they were on the cheaper supermarket ones but I've always wanted to change wondered if I should of got a different one

  7. I agree with others I would be worried you would be more concerned about your own dog than mine.

i have 2 rough collies they cope fine in summer, I do keep them indoors a lot, mine love water so they are often found swimming in their water bowls and clam pool. Grooming is not that bad I brush them each week for about 40 mins and send them to a dog groomer every 6-8 weeks which helps. They fit in we'll with my lifestyle and they are such sweet hearts

Smooth loses more fur than roughshod do

  8. I have 2 rough collies

They are very protective of their yard anyone who walks past or pops there head over they go nuts

We have been broken into and my girls were inside as they bark to much being on a corner block and spilt level yard they see everything and Lilly barks at everything , anyway the girls were inside and the police believe that's what stopped the people who broke in get to the rest of the house as they had opened the door and seen them go off and ran, the girls know when we leave when we get home they have that yap collie talk excited but if they don't like you their tail is straight up fluffy growling dogs come out.

They are friendly as and love people and if we are there they will go up for pats and loves there is just something bout them being in their yard that makes them switch to protection mode

  9. My sister sisters mother inlaw had something similar happen to her poodle a neighbours dog came into her yard and peanut was ripped to bits the other dog ended up being pts as it was the 2nd time it had killed anther dog

  10. Of course he was checked, this was 10 years ago my sister contacted the owner several times they were going to come and get him but never did, went on for months in the end she said if you don't want him she would have him and to sign him over they still never showed up the vet tried as well. My sister would not just keep someone's dog just because she liked him she actually didn't want to Keep him but he ended up staying and being a very much loved family member he has to be about 12 now

  11. Hi guys is there a Italian grey hound rescue for NSW??

Or anyone know where to start looking, my sister has a rescue (was a stray and the owners never came to pick him up) benny who is getting on in age still active though. but they had to put the greyhound x Labrador another rescue down 6 months ago and were thinking of adding another Italian grey if she can't find a rescue group she will look into the breeder side but wanted to do rescue first as so many dogs looking for good homes

  12. Thanks I've bathed them and used tea tree oil seems to be ok now with them being so sensitive to some products I like to try something else first they alway have garlic in there food as I make up rice chicken combo washed all the bedding and fle bombed just in case they are not riddled in them thankfully but I just didn't want it getting worse
