  1. I wonder what time you got there Clover, it took time to set up the stand and sort out the flyers. Reading your other posts Clover it would seem that you weren't really that happy about actually going.

Thank you Mita for your reply. Totally agree, it is a two way street, we can't know that you may want to just look at the pictures or actually want to talk to us. Two of the ladies who helped out on the stand were actually sick with bronchitis, but yet they were happy to man the stand for our lovely breed.

To Steph M - what freebie bag did the girl have?? Was it from the Jack Russell stand? Cause on Friday there were no "bags" there. The two women who were there in the early part of the morning before I got there were very attentive to people from what I could see when I arrived. If they didn't want to be there they would not have volunteered their time.

Out of the people we saw and attended to over the three days, it seems Clover that you were the only one upset by our Club.

  2. Hi Clover, I'm so sorry that you thought our people on our Jack Russell stand were rude. Did you actually come up and say hello to anyone there, I do know that we were busy talking to people. My mum and another member were there and were run off their feet, I arrived just after 11am with my dogs, and the people who came up to us and wanted to talk about their babies and asking really great questions was amazing. On Saturday we had two other members man our stand and they were exhausted at the end of their day, they had 5 dogs there, 2 adults and 3 puppies, needless to say they were very busy, in fact we ran out of fact sheets and had to get more for Sunday.

On Sunday my mum and my aunt manned the stand with the two members from Saturday again they were very busy. At the end of the day, with the amount of people that we saw and talked too, it would have been very hard to pick out just one face to talk too.

Look forward to seeing you at the next event and hopefully we will be able to give you the attention you sought.

  3. :thumbsup::cheer::champagne::cheer:

Yep BilboBaggins it was my Ernie who went RUIS on the Sunday - to say I was  surprised would be an understatement. There were some lovely dogs in the lineup.

My newcomers to the ring also did very well - Ernie's children, Phoenix & Vogue were also awarded Minor Puppy In Group (Phoenix) and Baby Puppy In Group (Vogue). It was Vogue's first day of showing and she behaved very well (thanks MIL Colleen :D )and acted like she had been doing it from the day she was born :heart:

  4. Hey Weisnjacs, it was great to see Pippa out there doing her thing - looked fantastic, little smarty that she is. :)

I'm still sitting on a very big high after that weekend :D - Ernie (Ch. Baylock Master Brew) came home with 2 Best in Groups :eek::thumbsup: and a Runner Up In Group  plus on one of the days (friday) an Intermediate in Show  Still pinching myself!!

The weather was beautiful all weekend, saw a beautiful sunrise too

The only sour point was that someone took a friend's handbag :mad:mad - it was reported to the police. I hope that they are happy and that karma will get you in the end.

  5. Also have to say that two of these children who were playing chicken with the cars, did the same to my mum when she was moving her car forward to make room behind her for another car, these kids a boy and a younger girl were just running through the parked cars and not checking to see - lucky mum was doing a slow crawl.

I don't understand why parents don't care about where their kids are - that boy was very lucky to get off so easily. Seriously, parents need to know where their kids are not leave them to their own thing.

  6. I managed to ring the Secretary today and she said that the post office had stuffed up and hadn't sent 165 entries to her and she received them after the closing date - which included my ones :( so that is why the numbers are all over the place.

Feel so sorry for her :(

  7. Well I asked another friend who has pugs and all her numbers are in the 600's as well, so I'm guessing that mum's little pug girl is the number that we have, so will have to go to the window and ask for the jack's and dobe's numbers.

Looks like group 2 is in the 100+ numbers, seeing you (Tentie) and Weisnjac have those numbers.

  8. Oh my, it is going to make for an interesting morning. I think I need a panadol, this is just doing my head in.

BB, I hope I can come home with at least something, lol, fringy would be nice  I got a notice for the numbers in the groups - this is what it looks like

    Gr 1 1 + 579-624

    Gr 2 112 + 641

    Gr 3 181 + 667

    Gr 4 261 + 680

    Gr 5 311 + 704

    Gr 6 435 + 723

    Gr 7 509 + 744

    Last number 744

So now you can see why we are all confused

  9. Nope, that can't be it - at least for us - ours were sent off in plenty of time. I can just see the secretary's office on Sunday, I think there will be a few confused people at the window. Hopefully the catalogue will explain it properly

  10. Just wondering if anyone is going to the show on Sunday - and if they have their numbers back. I have mine back, but can't understand their numbering system

My number which is 614 - which would normally be a group 6 or 7 number - but according to their numbering it is a group 2 number (for my JRT)

    Can anyone help out??

    thanks

  11. Congrats Missmoo and Sassy on your great win today :D  :D

As Missmoo stated - Ernie (my darling jack russell terrier) went BEST IN GROUP :D :) in a lovely line up of terriers - talk about surprised. Sassy was shortlisted along with a Staffy.

A great way to start off the New Year
