We got Mary Lou from a wonderful breeder, she was looking to rehone her in her "twilight" years...

we were incedibly lucky, and she chose us...

Then she was taken away... we took her to be desexed, and she never made it home to us.

Mary Lou was the most exceptional animal, I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her.

I miss her so much every day, its like part of me has been removed...

I would give anything to tangle my fingers through her thick black fur... or to have to come and get changed for the 4th time before going out... becuase i was smeared with drool. I would give anything to have her back for one more day.

She touched every single person she met... and some she hadnt.

thank you for allowing us to share your life Lu... I love you, and mummy misses her smoochy so much xxx

Theres something about large breeds there so lovable and human sorry for your loss ,just think about how lucky she was to have found you and the time she had. I always say to my friends they don,t live a long time but better to have than not.

Thanks everyone...

The giant breeds are really something special arent they... we had Lu exactly 5 months, but I cant remember life without her.

We are still finding fur (and drool marks) in the most unlikely places!!! just her little way of reminding us that she is still around

I find it helps to look for another dog asap .You should not have to wait it doesn,t help you never get over the one you loose but you start remembering them with all the good times ,and looking to the fun times with the new baby.It took me 5months to get anew saint last time and it broke my heart waiting the sadness stayed around to long. I can understand the deep attachment. 5 months can be like 50 years when it comes to loving a dog once they get into your heart. One week can do it. Maybe do fostering for a while, it helped me doing that in ways I can't explain but the tears never go away, they just get sweeter though.

Hugs to you knowing how it feels at this time.

My blessings to Mary Lou in heaven.
