  1. Hi everyone, I've entered the Perth Royal Show for the first time this year and I'd really love to dress up the bench. Only trouble is, I'm not the best at sewing and I don't really know where to start...lol! I would love to see any examples of what other people do with their benches to dress them up, and perhaps any tips eg. how to fasten the curtains to the bench, what you use for the base etc.. would be wonderful. I'd love to see any photos you may have, it would be greatly appreciated
  2. Wow that looks like so much fun! Looks like you guys had a ball Did it take you long to teach them the commands ie how to go left or right?
  3. Hi everyone, Can someone please explain to me what the difference between ET VIMS and ET MONTEMELIA is? I'm a bit confused as to which you enter if you just want to do the Endurance Test? Thanks
  4. That would be fantastic, thank you. PM'ing you now
  5. Hi everyone, I know it's probably a little late to be asking this, but I wonder if anyone would know where I could get a copy of the dvd for the finals of the Agility Nationals 2010? I would be very keen to get a copy and of course be willing to pay? I'm hoping that someone in the crowd may have videoed the finals? Many thanks for any help
  6. Well what a weekend we have had. At the agility trial yesterday we had a great run in the JDX class, came 1st in the height and 5th overall, giving us our first Qual in JDX. Had a not so good run in the Novice Agility class, went clear apart from missing one jump on the last section.....arghh. Overall I was happy with how he ran though, and I just love it when all the training pays off and you start working as a team. Doesnt happen all the time, but when it does it's a great feeling! Then at the show today, won our class and got Challenge Dog, so very happy with that That's my little brag :D I hope everyone else had a successful weekend too.
  7. Hi all, I will be moving to the Newcastle area in NSW soon and I would love to know if there are any obedience or agility clubs in this area that we can join? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :p
  8. Thanks for the tip. I'll get myself a metal comb soon and hopefully that will do the trick. Tell me something, when they lose their coats, are there products available that make their coat look a bit less tatty e.g. if you have a show or something coming up and their coat needs to look better? His coat is usually lovely but at the moment he looks a bit scraggy cos he's losing his undercoat
  9. Thanks for that advice. I wasn't sure if the furminator and the coat king would cut the top coat, because that's the last thing I want. Perhaps they are more suitable for breeds with shorter coats.
  10. Haha, I know what you mean about all the hair that comes out when they lose their coat. I sometimes think I could knit a jumper with it all! :D Serioulsy though, for dogs with such thick coats, I am amazed that they don't drop hair all over the place. He only seems to shed his coat about twice a year, so I can live with that I have a rake and a slicker brush, but I guess I just wondered if there was any special tool out there that can make the job a little easier. He could do with a bath soon, so I'll see if I can get more hair out that way. With the blowdrying, this may be a silly question, but do you blow dry them with cold air or warm? Only reason I ask is that my hairdryer only blows hot air, and I don't want to overheat him trying to get him dry. Usually I just let him dry naturally.
  11. Hi guys, just looking for some suggestions on the best product to use to get the undercoat out of my Rough Collie? There seem to be a few products out there now e.g. Furminator, Mars Coat King etc... and to be honest it gets a little confusing! I currently have a rake shedding type tool, and it does an okay job, but I still find there is quite a bit of hair coming out, even after I've used it. I guess I'm looking for something that will get the undercoat out but not rip the top coat out with it? If anyone out there with a Rough Collie or similar type of dog can recommend a good product, I would be very grateful. He is in the process of dropping his coat now, so I'm open to suggestions before my house gets covered in fur...lol!
