  1. Congrats!!! Look forward to seeing some pics :)
  2. A pic of one of my little girls.
  3. Proud to announce we have 8 new editions, 5 girls and 3 boys delivered yesterday. Mum and bubs doing well:)
  4. We got there!! We had 12 babies delivered via Caesar, 8 survivors! . Mum and bubs doing well :)
  5. They are beutiful, Alpha bet! Congratulations! :) Looks like it's just you and me now, JAJ. I see we are expecting on the same date, but I reckon we're going to go late, here. We have had a few complications with my girl trying to go early last Friday, been supplementing her with Progesterone and keeping check on fetal heart rates. C section booked for tomorrow as not likely for labour to progress naturally now. How is your girl going?
  6. All still going well here. Checking progesterone levels every 2 days and fetal heartrates which have been good. No more discharge since last Saturday now. We have started tappering her off her progesterone today but her progesterone levels are still very high. I speak to Phil my specialist in the morning but looking like we will be doing an elective C section on Friday. Still holding my breath and praying, will be so relieved when I can breathe again!
  7. So Sorry to hear your sad outcome with your girl:( It is not easy breeding dogs and can be ever so heartbreaking and all we can do is our best and hope for a positive outcome.
  8. Congratulations :)) Busy times for you now ;)
  9. Another day down now only 5 to go to be out of the woods. I took her to the vet this morning and the fetal heart rates had come up a bit, which is great as they were 208 yesterday and today are sitting around 240. Her progesterone levels are high again, so looking a lot more positive. Going to be a long 5 days but I am staying positive it will all work out. Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences, it truly helps to hear that others have been through similar experiences with mostly positive outcomes.
  10. I have a Bullmastiff Bitch that is 56 days pregnant. Yesterday When I woke she had a black discharge, which indicates the puppies are separating from the placenta. I went to my vet who checked the fetal heartbeats and her progesterone levels. The fetal heartbeats were ok, however the progesterone level was only 15. They had hoped it to be at least over 20 and in a perfect world to be about 38. After discussions with my specialist we have started her on oral progesterone to either bring her levels up or at least stop them dropping any more. If I can get her through to day 59 which is Wednesday then the babies may have a good chance. The discharge all setttled down yesterday, only to start up again during the night. My specialist called this morning to see how she is going and explained that this could just be more coming down from yesterday or could be another detachment. I am incredibly worried, but trying to remain positive as have heard of a few other bitches that have gone through the same thing recently and all has worked out fine. The vets are saying that the extreme heat we are having could be contributing to puppies being born premature at the moment. So make sure you keep you girls in aircon in the extreme heat if you can. I would be interested to hear from others that have gone through this and the outcomes. Cheers
  11. I have a Bullmastiff litter due 27th. Only two weeks to go now, and am very excited!!
  12. Thanks for the information. Yes she and I have researched it quite thorougly. They are unable to determine where it came from and I have suggested that she advise the breeder to get the entire litter tested. She also has an older dog that I thought may be worth testing as the specialist she is seeing is saying it can come from eating dirt, which to me means it may be able to lay dormaint in the soil... very scary thought really.
  13. I have a friend who has had a sick Neo Mastiff Puppy. The puppy developed hind leg weakness which progressed quickly over 4 days. They took her to their local vet who quickly referred them onto a specialist who ran a series of tests and to cut a long story short the puppy has been tested positive for Neosporosis. Has anyone had the bad luck to have had first hand experienc with Neospora and if so what was the outcome?
