  1. Thanks Nedsur. I have red staffords and had also heard it was great for red coats.
  2. The link below says 25g to 50g (1 - 2 tablespoons) www.iahp.com.au/datasheets/Livamol%20.pdf International Animal Health Products is the manufacturer. I've used it in horses but not in dogs (yet!)
  3. Boxagirl, you can get it from most good stockfeed suppliers - its actually a livestock supplement. Very good for coats on show horses! Have a look on http://www.horsesuppliesdirect.com.au/category124_1.htm
  4. I also use the Omega 3 oil, same as Tilly. Really does make a difference to their skin and coat.
  5. Hi Erny Yes, most definitely - earlier behaviours came back same as before. Also, he would get his penis stuck on occasion, and while this went away when he was on the implant, the problem returned. Not very pleasant for him or for us to have to put back in. Our vet told us that she's had to perform castration and radical penile amputation on a dog before who also used to get 'stuck' So both of these factors were the clincher, hence the desexing.
  6. We used the Suprelorin implant on our 4 yr old Stafford as he was very oversexed and had been previously getting hormone injections (which helped marginally). The result was very similar to Shoemonster's. It took about a month to become obvious but this is what we observed: Behaviour improved dramatically Condition/weight/coat did not change Testes shrunk significantly (~ 75%) Stopped hassling our desexed girl Reduced excessive territory marking I would also say that he was more relaxed/easier to live with and we saw more personality shine through. Seemed to last around 8 months (this was the original 6 month implant), and his testes did go back to the original size. Having seen how much his behaviour improved, we have since had him desexed.
  7. hi everyone. We use Cosequin DS, its odourless - you pull open the capsule and sprinkle on the food. CavNrott, you're spot on about Joint Guard and the same applies to Cosequin DS - the molecular structure of the active ingredients is unique and much better absorbed than cheaper products on the market. Cosequin DS is the gold standard of glucosamine/chondroitin joint supplements and is available from vets (and maybe online too?). I used to work for the company that makes both these products (note 'used to' - I have no hidden agenda for saying they work! :D ) and would highly recommend either as quality products.
