  1. I believe it's very true. I feed them Nutrience kibbles everyday, but once a week, they get chicken frames. And boy, do they love it!! Both products are great for teeth as well.
  2. Chicken wings good. My dogs love chicken frames, and they are very cheap too. I could get them at $1 a bag for 10-12 pcs. Raw of course.
  3. I believe it is safe and it is good for them too.
  4. Shocking! Who on earth wrote that? Isn't that cruel?? It's like something out of a movie where a person dunks the victim's head in water while interrogating him. Awful!
  5. Hiccups are very normal among young puppies.. They will stop hiccuping soon after a couple of months. So cute when they hiccups though! Lol.
  6. You need to bring your young pup outside to relieve itself at least once middle of the night. I don't think that it can hold it bladder for long. Unless you sleep at 3 am and wake up at 8 am then you could probably just leave it in the crate. However, if you sleep early, you do need to wake up once at night to bring it outside so that it can learn not to soil its crate inside. Hope everthing turns out fine for you! Good luck!
  7. Pups can only be fully toilet-trained when they are 5-6 months old, and even after that, there still might be 'accidents' in the house. Your pups are still very young, and that is why they cannot control their bladder. You've done a great job by taking them outside after meals, sleep time and play-time but you do need to take them out regularly every 2-3 hours since they are still so young, praise them out loud whenever they did their business outside and if not, bring them back inside quickly so that they will not associate outside with playing time. I dont think you need to worry much about this. It's very normal. You need lots of patience and consistency. 2 pups are a lot of work but they are a lot of fun, too! Good luck!
  8. Just like my boy here, KitKat. :D
  9. Openarms, I am deeply sorry for you.. I don't know how to comfort you because I can't put my words together.. but I do know that the pain you are feeling now will not last forever, Daisy will know that she will always be in your heart and she is at peace with that. Her time with you had been a blessed one. I sincerely hope that you'll be feeling better. RIP Daisy
  10. Do you mean Eaglepack Holistic Select Large Breed? How come I see it as $113 for 15kg in the website?
  11. I love Aldi products, mostly for fresh stuff, such as eggs, milk, bread and steak. But I wouldn't buy Aldi's canned or dry food. The dry food for particular seems to have loads of colouring in them.
  12. Wow! Thanks! I find this information very useful.
  13. I agreed with the 'loud scream' part. Work wonders with my pups.
  14. That is so great! Jackson sounds like such a nice GR, he sure do know how to treat a teddy like how it's supposed to be treated. My GRs would have ripped it to parts. Good for both of you!
  15. One of my dogs used to wee a little when she was very young.. mostly out of excitement.. it is more common than you think.. Not to worry though, it will grow out of it pretty soon!
  16. Lol. I owned 2 goldens and my garden is absolutely destroyed. Plants and trees gone, holes everywhere, pebbles on the sidewalk, broken hose, the lots. And they're not even outside dogs!! I will let them out for about 10 minutes and there would be disaster.. Oh well. I love my dogs more than my garden though. Will need a major restructuring on the garden this coming holiday though... Am sooooo looking forward to it.
  17. We just took them for the 2nd swimming time this week! It was awesome, both for the dogs and us. Thanks for the tips, people! I was indeed more aware of the surroundings after reading those comments.. Not to worry! The water's clean and there's clearly no ticks on them.. which I'm very glad of.
  18. GOD, that sounds so awful! I do feel very sorry for you. I am sorry I couldn't help you much in this, but I hope that things go for the better for you.
  19. Thank you everyone! I didn't know that sticks could be dangerous .. would definitely improvise on that! Would be too bad though, Shayla loves sticks! Also, thanks for the tip on bull sharks! What a scary thought! We bring them to the Maribrynong River, ever thought there would be anything dangerous in it! Also, now we need to keep an eye out on snakes as well! So far, no cuts on paws I will always keep an eye out on broken glass. And sharp rocks! Now that the dogs love swimming, I will try to bring them to the river as often as I can and look out for these things.
  20. Just three weeks ago, we started to bring our two young 6-month-old Goldens down to a river for a swim. And they looooved it! It's such a joy watching them splashing around and fetching sticks (not too far away!), our girl literally 'waited' in the water to fetch. Lol. OH and I spend invaluable time bonding special moments among ourselves and the dogs. We took them to the river about twice a week now! I'm just wondering though, is there anything I should be worried about taking them for a swim? Anything I should look out for? Also, how long do you think I should allow them to swim? We usually allow them to swim for 20 minutes, with regular breaks in between.. Should we keep it shorter? Or make it longer? Thanks!
  21. You would need to take her out after every meal, every nap, every play, basically as often as you think your pup needs it! Also, reward the pup a lot when she's done her business where you wanted! Patience is the key.
  22. I'm really sorry for your loss. This is a tough time for you. RIP Cindy.
