  1. That would have been John Cowdroy (sp?) but I don't think he does it anymore.
  2. You may need to invest in a bristle & nylon brush. You could still use the slicker on his fringes on his legs. All my shelties have been trained to lay down whilst getting groomed which makes it much easier whilst I am line brushing through their coats.
  3. I find my boys are more affectionate sometimes than the girls. I think sheltie temperaments have improved over the years since I started in the breed. You do need to attend a show and meet some breeders and their dogs.
  4. Glad things have eased a bit and hopefully it conditions are better today for all those living in the area and fighting the fires.
  5. Oh no, poor Ralph. Such a gorgeous little dog - always loved viewing the photos of Rocco & Ralph. Hugs to Serena. Might have to chase up a copy of this book.
  6. It looks like it is similar to Pet Expo but this one is just about dogs. Looking forward to seeing what they might have there :)
  7. Hi All, Just thought I would advise about the Dog Lovers Show that is being held in Sydney on 7th-9th November 2014 at the Hordern Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries http://dogloversshow.com.au/sydney . Seems this is the first time it has been held in Sydney so will be interesting to see what it is like. I will be working on the Dogs NSW stand on one of the days.
  8. Yes loved viewing the escapades of Rocco & Ralph - they sure made me laugh. Was a very sad day when Rocco passed away.
  9. I doubt if the breeders are still with us as Mr & Mrs Mallion (sp) were rather elderly at the time they were showing the kuzasz.

    Four Years

It only seems like yesterday when the news came through. Am sure they are all doing well at Rainbow Bridge and still with you in spirit - especially Magnus. Hope it gets a little easier each day.

    Old Pups

Lovely Bob - I hope that Hart continues to enjoy his days in the sun
  12. I will be there on the Shetland Sheepdog Club stand with Earl and maybe one of the girls so come over & get a cuddle from Earl :D
  13. As long as the dog was over 12 months and fully mature, I can't see why not. You would probably have to build up to it and make sure that dog is fit enough.
  14. Believe me, my lounge in the family room has the holes to prove it  oh and the legs of my chairs, corner of a mat, zipper on my jacket ...... the list goes on but one look from those eyes and his grinning face and I just laugh :D
  15. Just had to share a photo of my young man Earl taken by Cabal Canine Candids at Sydney Royal. Just love it!! He is now 10 months old and maturing nicely. He may look innocent but believe me, he is a little devil at home LOL
  16. Wrong person to ask Comrade Catdogs - I am lucky if I leave the dog pavilion and get to the showbag one let alone anywhere else. Was a little wet today and crowd was a little light on early in the day but then was quite good. They have extended the marquee over the dog ring so that it even covers the marshalling area which was great today in the wet weather. Had a good day - my shelties spent an hour at the Dogs NSW stand so the public could pat and cuddle. We finally got in the ring around 3.30pm or so and my young boy Earl was 2nd in puppy dog class so I was pleased. Just a heads up to those that park and at the end of the day go and get their car and bring it back to the grounds to pack - make sure you take your parking ticket with you. They won't allow you back out without one.... although I did manage after hitting the help button on the ticket machines near the parking area. They finally let me out without having to walk back down the hill and back up to the carpark.
  17. Will be there on the 10th April - first day of show so everything will be shiny & new
  18. Just a reminder that car pass can only be used on the day designated on the pass. Passes in are OK.
  19. Thinking of you & Tess - just know that you are not alone and a lot of us have had to face this decision. By the sounds of Tess, she is still enjoying the little things in life which make her happy. If you know beforehand whether you will be cremating or arranging a burial, it will make it a little easier at the vets if you inform them of your decision as well. My last girl was my most traumatic as I had just had my Mum pass away earlier that morning. Mid morning I rang my friend who was looking after my other dogs and she advised me that my eldest girl did not look good. I had to rush home and then get her up to the vet who didn't say anything but I could tell by the look on his face it was not good. I take a little comfort in that Brandi went to keep Mum company on their journey that day.
  20. Yep, will have all organised before 8.00pm and then will watch as long as I can :D Love watching the agility and freestyle plus of course the conformation judging. Glad I don't have work tomorrow
  21. Just a reminder that Crufts 2014 starts tonight at 8.pm EST - here is a link to the website where you can watch live www.crufts.org.uk/ Thoroughly enjoyed last year and looking forward to this year.
  22. And after you have finished with DD's dogs, you can come & train my four  They have me very well trained.
  23. Rest in peace Kibah and run free over the rainbow bridge. Hugs on your loss.
  24. I missed you guys today!! The shelties & I had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be backing up again tomorrow for another day. Earl & Kitty both enjoyed all the pats & cuddles they received
