Glad you have had two good days. You will probably find yourself on the roller coaster ride of emotion, like I am.

We took a holiday in Nov just to try and get away from the loss of Roo, but it only made it worse, I had more time to think of her. And everyone tells you to think of the good times, but that just makes me miss her more

I have a photo of Josh our budgie on my bedside table, and after 11yrs I still miss him, and cry when I think about him. Its been nearly 7mths that we lost our darling Roo and I'm still in heaps of pain ;) I still can't look at a photo of her And think of her day and night :D We have thrown ourselves into more rescue and thats the one thing that makes me feel better, is saving dogs from the bridge.

Hope you continue to feel better, and you and Josh bond soon.

As you will see we have been posting about our sweet Roo since june, and I have found it very helpfull posting on Dol MOST people understand, but their will always be the exception :cool:

I feel your pain We lost our heart dog Roo back in june, and I think about her all the time, I still wake at night and lay and think about her

And I understand the bond you have with budgie's, I will never get over the loss my boy Josh, he was my buddy he wen't everywhere with me, he had run of the house, he would wake me in the morning, he would fly into our room and land on me and wisper, "I love my Mummy, I love my Mummy" he was a very special boy, I could go on and on about the things he did.

Still to this day, years on I can't discuss the way he went, and I have had lots of different birds since, but none like my Josh.

I hope you can one day be able to get another pet.

I have shed sooooo many tears for you my darling, I think about you all the time, you where my everything, I miss rubbing your belly, kissing your sweet face and hearing you say your name and seeing you get excited when I say the word hungry, I just wish I got to say goodbye and you didn't have to go without me :D :p :p :p :p :p

We just came back from a quick holliday, and it just wasn't the same :D We went to lots of places that we once took our darling Roo and had lots of time to think about her Thought it was a good idea to get away, but it was harder than I thought

It's still so hard to except that our Roo is gone

Its just so nice that there are strangers out there there that can understand and feel my pain, even though I have friends and faimily that don't understand my pain, and never try to remember Roo's name

Dandydog and I met you at Cordelia's BBQ (I lost my Ruben, known as Roo a bit over a year ago)! We spoke for a while and sort of bonded over our Roos so to say ;)

I feel your pain and I too know how hard it is to loose a loved one!!! I hope the wonderful memory of your sweetheart helps you through the day ! I have thought of you quite a few times since we met, you are a wonderful caring and loving person and you are in my thoughts

You will never know how much you have helped me, it was an amazing time when we spoke about our sweet Roo's, and I think about it all the time, I know it has taken me a long time to reply but your reply and just meeting you has been a help to me in lots of sad times and I new that when I did reply to you it would make me cry again, and I guess I wanted to delay that any TRY and be strong but thanks again and I hope that my Roo and your Ruben are safe and happy together

Been thinking of you and Casper today, so sad that he had to go but least his has no more pain.

Chin up openarms, I know its sooo very hard, we lost our darling Roo just 3mths ago, and not a day or night goes by that I don't think of her, we found her too, she got hit by a car, and the car didn't stop for her, we only had her for 3yrs, but I always tell myself that we were lucky to have that short time together.

Your Daisy was VERY lucky to have meet you, and to have a great year with you, she knows she was special and loved.

Not much we can say to make you feel better, but we are all thinking of you ;)

So sorry to read this, I love my Rainbow girl, I understand how wonderfull they are, they are very special birds.

Just last month we lost our cockateil and a budgie, not to mention our darling Roo in june, its always soooo hard to lose one of your babies, thoughts are with you :rolleyes:

we are going okay still having hard moments but more time goes by in between those moments

keeping busy with all the other furkids that roo seems to be sending us they have no idea of your grief so

life goes on which sometimes makes you feel guilty to roo because you are'nt grieving all the time

sounds silly i know but these hard times in life work in mysterious ways

and yes mina and anthony named two staffy x's after us because we saved them from the pound

and they were kind enough to take them in for us

pinky's been done with the flu for the past 4 days so i have taken the helm and am hopefully fulfilling

the captains duties ok. trying to keep up with all the posts in between looking after the furkids and

work
