  1. Im the same as Vanessa0305, my pup has only had one shot, and i take him out on a route i know is safe, if another dog comes anywhere near Pathc, i lift him up away from him. You have to be smart and responsable about these sorts of things. My ex had a german shepherd pup, he wasnt socialised before 16weeks and he was a nightmare around other dogs. Its so heartbreaking to have a dog you cant take out becuase your worried it will go nuts. Just be smart about it.
  2. Do you think it would be ok to put up the water dish at 9pm if my pup last ate at 5:30ish?? He drinks a huge amout of water in one hit, almost seems like he doesnt want to stop. He wouldn't get thirsty and cause damage??
  3. my partner and i have a 10week old pup and he has learnt to tell us when he needs to go outside and he hasnt dirtied inside in about a week. He already knows to sit and wait for his food bowl to be on the floor before going to it. He srops something if we tell him to and he comes straight to us if we call him from a distance. I cannot believe how well this pup is doing. He knows who we are and loves playtime but also loves a cuddle. Pups is a border collie x blue healer. Mel PS: Hold in there, its so worth the tiredness and all the 'NO's. Its amazing how much love you get and give a puppy. Espically one you have taught yourself.
  4. I have a 9 week old Border Collie x Blue Healer.. Whilst my fiance and i are at work, he stays at my future parents place with their older dog Georgie. Pathc (my pup) teases him, races after him and even pinches his toys and runs in front of Georgie as if to say, 'ha, i got it'. Georgie does growl and sometimes even chases Patch away, but has never bitten Patch. We found, leaving the George in another room when Patch first arrives each morning for half an hr helps George accept Patch is there for the day. They get on ok. They even sleep together on the couch now. Having an older dog will help the younger one learn to be around dogs.
  5. Id say it is teething as well.. I have a 9 week Border Collie x Blue Healer and he always has something in his mouth, chewing away.. If he isn't sleeping, he is chewing. Ive learnt tho, one option NOT to take, is give a 9 week pup those Denta-bones. gives em diahoreea.
