Does anyone know of a rescue group in QLD that will take on a Neo, ive contacted a few breeders that i know but unfortunatly they cant assist at this time and because i now live in another state i wont be able to help.

A petition tabled in state parliament today and signed by 2597 people outlined what it called the "cruel practice" of selling cats and dogs in pet shops. Abandoned: man's best friend It says unwanted pets were often put down after spur-of-the-moment purchases and Queensland should follow the lead of other countries that had banned pet shops from selling cats and dogs. "Animals are often purchased by ill-informed people who later discard their pet when they realise that pet ownership is not as easy or cheap as they thought," the petition says. "Your petitioners request the House to ban all pet shops from selling cats and dogs." In 2008, the government introduced a code of conduct designed to lower the numbers of unloved pets. The code encouraged pet shops to ensure animals went only to suitable homes. Under it, prospective owners were to be talked through the responsibilities of pet ownership and whether a pet matched that person's lifestyle. It was also aimed at ensuring all cats and dogs were microchipped and desexed before they reached breeding age. AAP

The vets here dont stock it so wont get it in. I ended up putting them on goats milk and my Biolac arrived yesterday but one of the pups isnt taken it too well because they have changed the ingrediants by adding more vitamins so instead of being white its bright yellow.

Does anyone know where in Darwin i can get Biolac, I have rang every vet, every stock feed, every pet shop to no avail and no one will order it in. I have rang the biolac company and am getting some shipped up but it wont get here untill late next week. I hate changing puppy formulars once pups get use to one but it looks like i may have too.

I enjoyed following the Rocco stories, he was truly a special boy. Sorry for your loss

I had a neo a few years ago that had ED and the vet gave her 1 shot of cathropan sp?? and she never limped again, i keep in contact with her new owners and she has still not limped once in over 2 years, vet still cant believe it

You know what my dogs get Varicool, he is getting the best but i dont know whether its my eyes or it just seems his feet are turning out alot more as the weeks go on If you run your hand along his leg it is horrible, his bones are just so warped.

I adopted a dachshund from the pound about 4wks ago and didnt really notice his legs untill i got him home. He walks like a penguin, his legs are very deformed but he has no problem running jumping etc and doesnt seem in pain at all. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this sort of thing and will it get worse or will he require an op. I will take him to the vets after xmas for their opinion but i thought id ask here first. He is 8mths old.

Maybe take him to the vet if you have tried everything. Didnt one of your dogs die from picking up something from mud? Maybe the bug is still around, i wouldnt take the chance.

Just rang the Importer and can confirm there is NO RECALL on the dog food,really wish people would get there facts right before saying things(don't mean you neorotic,your delivery guy) Oh thats ok then, i was starting to panic because my dogs have just finished a bag last week and have had half a bag this week. Some bad communication has happened then :D

The guy that delivers my dog food told me, it sounded like they have only just found out. Im going to ring them later because i have a half a bag of Orijen here and im not sure whether to keep feeding my dogs with it.
