  1. I don't come on here much but would like some answers. Firstly, I was told by the owner of a puppy I sold to a breeder in New Zealand who has said that New Zealand no longer do Elbow scoring as it was useless? Is this true? Also. What do you know of this vet: http://www.vsg.co.nz/? Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to piece together some things that have occurred.

  12. I have two dogs that do this. Both caused by excitment. Adele will sometimes become overexcited at a show and it will occur inside the ring. We have since lernt to deal with it and the dogs come running when an eppisode begins
  13. Just after some information. We imported a bitch who is Prcd-PRA DNA tested clear by parantage and is the only elkhound in Australia to have been tested for this. I have been told that there is nothing to compare a sample for this teast for the elkhounds and waswondering if my import could be used tohelp with the test to become possilbe in the country and how would we go by it to make this happen. I would like to have any do tested for this that willbe used to breed with her and so I'm asking if anyone would know where I can atleast start with looking at testing my elkhound's for Prcd-PRA Thank you in advance

  15. So- what has changed in her world/life? What is happening that has led her to all this activity? Is she getting her regular walks/training/grooming? Is she perhaps coming in season? is she still in the same yard/run/room? Are there new dogs/cats/babies in the household? . tail-biting can be a sign of pain.. the dog nibbles to relieve the feeling. it can also point to fleas.... or anxiety..... I did mentions we have 8 week old puppies in the house in my original post. She is just coming out of season - everything is still the same.
  16. I had noticed only yesterday that it looked as though someone got sicssors and took bits of hair off my 8 months old elkhounds tail. As noone did we thought maybe the litter of 8 week old puppies were pulling at it when they were playing. But once we looked at the 8 weeks old puppies mothers tail, her tail seemed fine. It is onlythe8 month old's tail that looks like it has been haked at. So now we think maybe she is biting her tail. We think she is doing this to draw attention her way as she has been doing alot of things she would normally never do such as tear up paper, continuously jump at us and poop in the house. I was wondering if anyone else has exhibited this type of behaviour and what would be best to stop this behaviour???? I have tried to look up on google but didn't find what I was looking for. I will be washing her in the morning. Should I have the vet check her out? Any advice please????
  17. My goals for 2011 will be to title my beautiful British girl Pandora, get Bond closer to his grand title and to see another litter from Adele (Her last liter) We will also have one or two new comers into the ring come Feburuary 2011.
  18. Well done. Who went Ru/BIG Friday? Arwen's the best. Love that red bitch ETA just found out through facebook
  19. I rang them about numbers and unfortunantly I was surprised that my entries had never made it there SO we won't be there. It might be a good idea to ring to check if your entries did get there as this is the 2nd time this year my entries have been misplaced for a show
