  1. It does look a little red from what I can see but it dosent appear to be bothering him.. the vet said they put the stitches on the inside somehow so he couldnt pull at them and also dissolvable ones due him being impossible to stand still to have them removed........This morning he seems abit quieter so maybe it was a bad few days.... time will tell...... Hes normally a hyperactive dog, but never aggressive so I think its just the unusual situation and they were some bloody big nuts to get chopped off LOL, might be sore...I would be hehe
  2. Thanks for that, Sounds the same as my boy, hes had this shot before and he has done the same thing but hes never got this higher dose before so as I understand it, the higher the dose, the harder the withdrawl'? . thats why they say to wean them off it, except being a needle I cant do that....... I might do like you said and give him a female hormone shot, cause if this keeps up hes going to be in the dog house so bad!! I cant let him do that to my kids. He even kind of went me and he never does that, Im the one he usually behaves for........ little big shiet!
  3. Day 4, My Boris is a MONSTER! Hes being a ASS! Aggressive to other small female dog and shes submissive to him , you would think hes starved, and just really full on!, Wont let her eat, I have to sneak her food! Im wondering if hes coming down off a cortisone or something they gave him because hes never been this bad..... he even growled at my son through the door who loves him! WTF is the matter with him! Vet did say they gave him a huge dose of something for pain/inflamation, could that be it? If hes still like this on Monday, hes goin back to the vet...
  4. OMG I spilt my coffee! So friggin funny~ Oh and he will be 2yrs old next month.
  5. Um, when a male dog is desexed, what should be left? LOL I ask because my dog was desexed on tuesday when I get a glimpse of that region, it looks like hes still got a ball? Do they leave the outer skin to shrink LOL, I thought it was all chopped off! Im not game to ring the vet over this question!!
  6. Vet thought it was funny! hehe They said she should be ok, may get a upset tummy though being a high dose! That'll teach her for being a theif!
  7. Feeding the St Bernard his morning antibiotics in ham, he spat out one tablet and the small maltese grabbed it and ate it! Its 600mg tablet, will she be ok? Shes about 6kg, its meant for a 70kg dog! Should I ring the vet?
  8. My dogs is the vets today getting desexed amongst other things.. I weighed him when we got there and the scales say the same weight as last time he was there, but hes gained alot of weight! Even just looking at him , hes abit rollier hehe Im thinking their scales maybe dont go high enough? He was sick last time and had lost alot of weight and yet scales say the same today? I might stand on them and see if they only goto what his weight is,, I weigh more than they say he does!
  9. Thankyou for the link! According to the label, it treats upto 50Kg, not 40 like I read somewhere.
  10. Hello. IM about to stock up on Advocate but I'm just not sure which ones would be best to suit a 70-75kg dog? I was going to buy several boxes of the largest one for over 25kg dogs but I cant remember what that will cover? 50kg etc? Would I jjust have to use 2 every month or 1 large and 1 smaller etc? Any help would be appreciated! Actually I just googles it and its for 25-40kg, so I think I'll need 2 big ones!
  11. Actually I dont blame her/him. You have gone out of your way to be nasty..... all they did was try to answer you. She wasnt hiding anything, just because she didnt spell out their grooming routine dosent mean they are as you say clueless. Notes wouldnt bother me, but I see Gasmirs point, clients who have been coming for years have no need for "notes" unless they ask for something different for a change, whats the big deal? Who says she dosent have respect for her clients? you? Seriously lol I dont think your a troll, just itching for a Bitchin... But not 25 years of respect for clients, the people who actually give gashmir a living. And now, after I've pointed out that he/she is just rude about those clients, she gets all hysterical and calls me a troll. Hmmm.
  12. Sheridan, After 25yrs of dog grooming, I really doubt gashmir's clueless.. go easy mate.
  13. "I doubt any groomer would put in the same amount of time an owner would put in. " You have got to be kidding right?
  14. Whats the release form you mentioned? Id love to see it if you could show me!
  15. Wow What terrible stories! Ive been lucky so far, no really badly neglected dogs. How do you handle a dog who's even matted in their head and face and it cant be de-matted? Clip it back to the skin? I'm dreading getting a dog like this as it would look so weird on say a Maltese type breed to end up with no hair on their heads! Luckily none have been so bad, Honestly I think I will just say no, No owner will be happy with the end result.
  16. I think you need to go grab a cuppa and try to relax! I completely understand though, I recently told someone I wont be able to do their dog anymore, It was hard as I was quiet attached to the dog but it was just getting too much, every visit was getting worse and worse.. Hope the rest of your day picks up!
  17. Interesting thank you, I might go get some.. Do only the vets sell it?
  18. Boris would probally not let me syringe anything down there and I'd be too worried that he would shake so hard he'd damage his earlobes again like last time but Im glad that works for you.. Im Jealous! I dont think Im doing him any harm atleast, it can only help and its antibacterial. Miranda, What does the Malaseb do? Isnt is a medicated shampoo?
  19. Have you wormed the puppies? IM no expert but I'd suggest keep all the droppings picked up would be a start. Make sure your kids wash their hands often would be another suggestion just incase they do come into contact. Sorry that dosent help you on how to get rid of them on the ground though.
  20. Hey! Just wondering what people use to clean out ear wax, not so much vet prescribed ones but homemade? My Saint is once again on meds for a ear infection, this time round I'm not waiting till his ears swell. I'm using a mix of 30% Betadine 40% Water and 30% Cetrigen which is a anesthetic and insect repellent in 1. Applying liberally to baby wipes (huggies to be exact) and clean out as best i can. I like these 2 products as they are fast drying inside the canal if any gets right down there. I usually just use the wipes without the added things but I need something with a bit of oomph (lol) now that they are smelly! Any tips would be great, I don't know why it keeps coming back!
  21. Huh? Where did I say I was getting a bitch? And If I ever did breed I would only ever breed to improve, Im no byb thankyou.
  22. Yes your right, I was very careful last time and I havnt got it so I was lucky this time. Thats another reason why cant risk it, I dont want my family or my pets getting it either. I never let my kids near any dogs here to be groomed for this exact reason, incase they do turn out to have something Im not aware of, assume the worst!
  23. Yes I will tell them next time they call. The last thing I want is for other dogs to get sick because I didnt ban someone after I knew they had it. I didnt realise the 1st few times.
