  1. My old Heeler X was always great with toilet issues, until he was about 14 then he started to have accidents inside mainly at tea time he would eat and then poo right at the end of his meal but he didn't seem to notice. Then in the morning when he was getting up from his bed he would poo a little. It was always just a little log not a full poo. We would always try to quickly clean it up before he noticed because he would get a little sressed if he saw/smelt it. He was quite stiff in his old age and was on metacam daily. He lived to be just over 15 years. The vet had no idea how to help at the time, we just kept him as comfortable as possible until his time came. RIP my big bear.
  2. My dog has lead aggression issues but as long as she feels that I am in control and she is told " LEAVE " we just keep on walking.
  3. We have used it for years, on nappy rash, dry lips,on the dogs for dry elbows and cuts and grazes. It's great stuff. The dogs do lick at it sometimes but we have not had any problems.
  4. I will miss your face at OVCC, your honest and down to earth beliefs of the dog world, which opened my eyes to things I had never really understood. You understood my dog before I did in those early days. Bronte always trusted you, even when I didn't trust her. I think she even grew to like the occasional nose in that place when it was from the beautiful Shadow, YOUR SHADOW. I will miss your doggy stories, always told with such love and humor. My thoughts are with Tony and family but I can't stop thinking about how confused Shadow must feel, he adored you and will miss you as many will. RIP Dianne
  5. How sad. I'd often look at the ADR site and admire his beauty. R.I.P Tonka
  6. Although my food bowls empty I'll always be around Right behind you or by your side And I'll never make a sound For when you care for someone The way you cared for me The memories and feelings Last for eternity. The home beyond now calls me I travel well prepared For I spent my life with someone Who really truly cared This is part of a poem my mum wrote when my old boy went to the home beyond. It has always seemed to comfort me whenever times are hard and I miss him. I hope that it helps a little. It's so sad that they don't live as long as we do. My thoughts are with you, Narelle
  7. Not really much help. My 6 month old foster dog is a biggish girl and if she wants to come in she is tall enough to pull the handle, only problem is we need to teach her to close the door, as it gets a little breezy. Or we just shut the security screen door as the handle on this is upside down, she hasn't figured that out yet. She is not the brightest looking dog in the world but she has hidden talents.
