  1. Sounds good in theory but I dont think that they are dane friendly... hehe, Bells legs are over 60 cm in length and there is no way that they will bend like that. She has a hard enough time walking without falling over cause she is so awkward

Cant wait to see photos of your man in them... He will look so spunky ;)

 Poor Bella with her long legs  I wonder if you could cut the jammies in half but put buttons or a zipper on the each half so you could join them???

  2. Nice job Gilypoo! :o:laugh: And isn't Bella a sweetie

Bear with me, I may still get you to create a coat for Benson but I had another idea yesterday when I went into the commercial market place an saw doggie pjs and I spoke to Amstaffs4me and she said she could make jammies out of a thinner material rather than polar fleece. I reckon I might have a better chance of keep them on him than a coat - I will give it a crack but if not I will come searching for you Gilypoo! :o

16Paws thanks for posting that, would love to hear your report on it! :)

    Edit spelling

  3. Hey Gilypoo - How did you go with the jacket for you girl???

Sorry ive been struck down with a Chest Infection and havent done much but sleep.. I will endeavor to complete it tonight.... Sorry I didnt update you earlier.

Oh my goodness you don't need to apologies - rest up and get better you poor thing! ;)

Thanks heaps... If I cant sew it tonight I will just pin it together so you get the general idea. You will def have a pic tomorrow to look at.

    Absolutely no pressure k!

  4. Why the eyerolling? Do you think it might be a reminder to vaccinate - marketing?

Absolutely - they have sent two emails in the last couple of months that is fueling fear IMHO re the AVA recommendations.

Additionally they didn't say where in Brisbane - yet they have numerous locations

This is kind of what I had in mind?!?!

Then you may as well just look at getting a Weatherbeeter coat ;) (cheap :) )

I agree it would be easier, but I want it think so he could wear it in summer too and plus he has heat issues as it is.

That is cool Stormie - they really look great - but I am thinking that will be too warm. But perhaps this one might be the best option :eek:http://www.chillydogs.ca/productRainSlickerAllBreed.html

  6. OMG! Who did that to his tail? :D

    He NEEDS a jacket! :)

OK, thinking cap on for fabrics .... I'm thinking lined on the inside with a natural cotton fabric and the ouside ......

 I told him it's the latest trend and all the cool hounds around town are sport this look! ;)

No seriously he had bad mats and I couldn't bear to get him shaved as I believe it hurt him the time before so I got OBG to help me find a breeder/show person who kindly git rid of all the problems for us! ;)

I was kind of thinking maybe something along the lines of tent material/canvas - what do you all think?

He is going to get the shock of his life when he meets the other pooches at the park! even Lexi has better feathers than he does LMAO

    :rofl::eek: :eek: Tail feather envy!!! :eek::o :o

  7. Oh yeah the MC Hammer Pants stuff!!! Grrrr! .... *shivers from the memories*

Do you think a material like that could be sew into a jacket and you would recommend a line cotten lining or the singlets??? :mad

It is quite easy to work with... You will need to put something heavier on the outside to give it a bit of substance... You wouldnt need a singlet underneath it if you are only putting oil on his back and rump. Ill try finish bells coat tonight or take a photo of where im up to so you can see what design I use... It may be completly the opposite to what your thinking.

It basically is a rug that lays on their back with a proper collar that they put their head through and a strap underneath that holds it in place. ;) Confusing I know

Not at all that's kind of what I was thinking too! :) Looking forward to seeing it!

  8. I recommend an absorbent type cotton to absorb only the excess oil. That way, the oil is still against his coat and he can absord more from the cotton as required (does that make sense :) )

If you use something that isn't absorbent, you will end up with a greasy kind of coat when it does come off him and I guarantee you will end up with oil on the floor if not the furniture.

Have you got lots of old throw covers to put on the furniture? I use cotton quilts because they are comfy for humans but easily washed regularly.

I guess you also need to keep in mind the humidity in Brissie, otherwise I'd suggest wrapping him in Gladwrap!

 That reminds me of Bad Boy Bubby ;)

BF and GR - Ok I now get that it will need some absorbency and I do like the idea of the mens singlets BF under a jacket. Perhaps I should get a jersey like your boy has on with the singlets underneath?!?! :mad
