  1. YES!!! I wanted to use both dogs but could not find a bathroom big enough and the room I am using now will prob only fit Tyson, model and me if we are lucky.
  2. its OK the bathroom I am thinking of wont be anything of nice to trash. I cant wait to meet him. I have always wanted to photograph a Neo. Thanks Again.
  3. Ams you are awesome, thank you the Neo people contacted me. OMG he is divine
  4. Thanks Ams you are a legend. Fingers crossed. I think a Neo would be awesome for this shoot.
  5. Hey DOLers. I am putting a call out to anyone that might be able to help me. I am after a easy going Rottie or Amstaff or Bull Terrier or Neo Mastiff for a bathroom shoot this weekend. If you also have a cool old bathroom and think your dog would be happier being photographed in it's own home even better. You can email me on [email protected] I wish you were in Brisbane I would be all over this.
  6. awww look at Daisy and her blue steel. Beautiful images Shell, gorgeous light.
  7. Here are some quick happy snaps of simon and ralph. They play tug-of-war. Though Si has his moments and can rub Ralph up the wrong way they are getting along well. Si thinks Ralph is tops! Ralph does have his victory sometimes too - I do have a series somewhere of Ralph taking down Simon in a wrestle - I have to find it.
  8. Nawwww and it shows in Huga's photos. Simple Simon looks like such a lovely little dude who totally adores you. I can just imagine him in the dog park feeling all smug about having the best looking owner I think there are alot better looking dog owner around then me - dont they say you look like your dog?! But I know I feel spesh owning Simon as he is a bit awesome-sauce.
  9. Beside the rubbish holy gummies it was so much fun. Katie did the most awesome job and I love love the photo's. You rock Hugs! we're working on the piglet! Well she does have a thing for drooly dogs so that's a given, Hugs. I love the B&W of him looking up at her like he's saying - Gawd I love you! I don't mind a bit of drool. I do adore my little man so much in return. He is such a funny fun-loving little character.
  10. Believe it to your peril He comes into the work studio daily with me and all my work colleagues think he's as sharp as a tack. He is doughy but I also know he is cunning. Thanks for the comments - he is definitely a character.
  11. I was just sifting through my images for work reasons and thought to do a Simon update. He has just gone 9 months and I have had 3 months of comedy. Simon is mentally challenge but such a fat little porker of fun. I really beleive that every day Simon wakes up its a brand new world to him. Nothing stays in his brain. But he is so adorable, loveable and if he was a person he would be the type that has a heart of gold.
  12. it was hard. Actually, I was OK about it. I was worried my heart might break not having a BM being around them all. But as soon as I got home Simon did something stupid and I knew it was a Bulldog for now. :D Thanks for the comments guys, they def are a gorgeous bunch.
  13. I dont share much photography on DOL nowdays as 90% of it is prob too boring for you all. But I have to share this experience because: 1 - its way to cute not too and 2 - its Bullmastiff puppies the cutest things after Bulldog puppies and a breed most of you know I am devoted too. I have always wanted to photograph a BM litter and was lucky enough to be invited to do so. It was total chaos but so much fun. And a BIG thank you to Huga for the awesome luggage cases. more here
  14. I have to agree. Every one I have seen is strange looking and with no consistent type. The BBs does not need saving and what a shame people thinking the AB is the answer. British Bulldogs are unique, they are wonderful and don't need people messing with them.
  15. Tim Flach is a true artist. There are also artist like Erin Vey (though she doesn't do much now days) Jesse freiden and Sharon Montrose - they're awesome.
  16. I had a conversation with someone the other day. They asked what I did for a living. I told them my trained profession while mentioned I did some photography part time and gave them a web link to my site. I got a response back from them which went like this: "I was a little weary of you saying you did photography as it seems everyone I meet now days is a photographer and I find the industry becoming a bit of a joke." I never felt embarrassed to say I did photography until hearing that - as how many others out there think this?! I dont call myself a professional photographer - just "photographer". I still class myself as growing and learning even after 3 years. Do a google search for photographers of the likes: Shine Pet Photo's, Scruffy Dog Photography, Nicole Mlakar - Livingston and Sarah Beth Photography (just to name a few) but these guys are world class pet photographers and will give you an idea of the standard of work around. Good luck with your new business.
  17. errr.... Simon got stuck in the work storeroom this week between two boxes and kept shuffling backwards then forward then back again then forward trying to get out...this went on for a good minute. Have you ever seen that scene from Austen Powers were he tries to back the yellow cart out of the corridor? that was Simon. He's not a problem solver. But I would love to teach him to skate as he would like that. I think Simon is going to be more of an athlete then an intellectual. The BB in the clip is awesome though and gives me hope! Beautiful looking dog too.
  18. Good choices. :D Only two dogs I have ever wanted to own Bullmastiff and a British. I never thought I would be without a Bullmastiff, but opportunity presented itself to take the step into a British for the first time. I have to say I am very much enjoying the entertainment of a British Bulldog. They are comedy on legs. I thought BMs could be arrogant with painted on ears! A British makes them look very humble. For awhile there I thought SImon might be deaf. I will own a BM again, hopefully in a year or so, unless the British totally steals my heart. I would not choose to own a Dachie myself, but my sister owns one and he is a little bit cool and changed my opinion on the breed. But if you ever need convincing just ask.... I do love alot of dog breeds that I will stand and admire (to many to list), just not wanting to actually own them with not being suitable for me.
  19. It's a nice shot, good to see you bonding.
  20. OM Goodness Edwina is just gorgeous. I have such a soft spot for these guys.
  21. The pastel look is done in editing. I agree with Snook - Lightroom is great for editing. I personally only use Photoshop these days but when starting/learning Lightroom is awesome. You can find free or even buy lightroom presets that give you these effects. Just do a search on the net. Good luck. :D
  22. Raz, to answer your question if Ralph is OK with Si. Look closely - Simon trying cuddle up with Ralph inside a "ralph size" crate and you see ralph holding his ground.
