  1. Just thought I'd update on our little girl. She's definately gone 'fluffier' and her hair/fur has grown longer. It seems that there are 2 coats on her. If you look closer at her tummy in the picture, there's the wispy, lighter and longer coat. Then when I run my fingers through her coat, there's a shorter coat that's more dense and about 5mm long. I'm kind of baffled as to what breeds she's been crossed with. However, she's a real smart little pup - she sits and stays already at 12 weeks and is doing really well at puppy school (very food driven). Fully toilet trained at home (goes in and out by herself through a doggy door). She plays by herself very well and loves playing with the kids. Still teething and tries to chew my hand but knows when I tell her 'no' and still likes to jump a bit but settling a lot more. And she's fetching a tennis ball already :-) Whatever she is, she's definately a bundle of energy and our girls love her!
  2. Well that's just what being a puppy is about, snoopy, but please dont think of exercise at this time. Play time yes - full on exercise no. Sorry, I meant for future...when she's older and needing more walks etc. Definately not now...she gets tired easily just after playing a bit. I'm only spending 10mins at a time teaching her to sit - and slowly getting there
  3. Thanks everyone for your opinions. At least they confirmed my suspicions. She's a cutie still. She seems to exhibit JRT traits like jumping/pouncing lots and seems to have less attention span as well. I'll now have to steel myself for extra discipline and lots more exercise.
  4. She's about 1.3kg, 28cm long and 24cm high (according to the pic from head to tail to paws). I wasn't sure if she's really a maltese x shih tzu. Kind of suspected she has a terrier or some other breed in her as well. Her fur's starting to 'fluff up' but doesn't seem as fluffy as I thought she would be.
  5. We recently got a rescued a puppy and was told that she is a maltese x shih tzu. Can anyone tell me if she really is a cross of these breeds? She's about 9 weeks old. What do you guys think?
