  1. It's ok for you and your dog to have a bad day. Training is about the dog and handler learning to work together, not about advancement. (As an example of what I mean: there is a person at my obedience classes who argued with the trainer when she was not advanced into the next class when many others in the class were. The trainer thought that she and the dog needed more work, but she bullied the trainer into advancing them because she wanted to keep up with the Joneses.)
  2. I've been at Northern Suburbs with Kira too, so will look out for you and Bayley next year. I'm not a fan of halti's either, I want my dog to learn to be good for all situations, not just for when she's wearing a halti. It may be slower going but I reckon it makes for a better dog. Northern Suburbs pretty much give you a different trainer every week. I like that because there's a chance I'll find a trainer whose methods/ideas Kira and I click with, but on the other hand I don't like it because they never get to know my dog. Great people though, and if nothing else Kira has fun when we go.
  3. I love those pics KJ, the last one reminds me of Snoopy's face when he does his happy dance. :D Kira can already catch butI'm going to try it with rice crackers to see if I can get her a bit more reliable at it. We haven't done much catching on purpose really because I didn't want her jumping around on her little puppy joints when my throw is a bit off.
