  1. Hi All, I was at the Central Highlands Champ Show on Friday taking pics of the Rottweilers, but while there I happened to take snaps of many dogs from Group 6. I don't know whose dogs they are, but I thought I would share. Cheers. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.127359020759556.24959.118045771690881&type=1

  7. My little boy Rocky was prone to sickness but I have found that short car trips help alot - just think of it as part of dog training. I would take him to the park in the car for a walk and play, which put a good association with it. Also do not feed the puppy prior to the trip, at least two hours prior. Also if the puppy is crate trained and it can fit in the car, take it as it will give the puppy security. I can now travel two hours in the car to my parents and Rocky just sleeps in his crate for the trip. Good luck.
  8. If you speak to some breeders in other states they can lead you down the right path. Best if luck
  9. I'm sorry to hear of your loss, having just lost my best friend I can feel your loss :( R.I.P. Brock
  10. We've had her close to a month now - but when we picked her up she had a dull coat and struggled to walk. I've switched her over to a raw diet and her coat is a lot better than it was. I also have her on Sasha's Blend and it has helped with her mobility beyond belief.
  11. It was very tough for her and so the least we could do is provide a home worthy of the beautiful dog that she is
  12. We sure have - she belonged to an ederly lady who has gone into a nursing home and can no longer look after her. We wan't to ensure Chevy has the best life possbile in her twillight years
  13. Introducing Chevy, our new old member to the family She's 10 and quite happy in retirement
  14. While careful selective breeding does increase the predictability of characteristics, to ignore the basic fact that like us humans, dogs are a product of their environment and experiences, is ignorant. A dog may start it's life with the best genetic building blocks, but ignore it's social requirements and mistreat it and you have the potential to turn ANY dog into a threat.... and yes from my experience, Pugs included. Our responsibility should not end with breeding, dog ownership is education, care, obedience and monitoring, in order to ensure a stable dog through all its stages of growth. Every breed has it's own unique traits, whether good or bad, it's understanding these traits that can help us nurture the desirable and discourage/prevent the undesirable. I feel for the poor lady, and can't even imagine how horrific it may be We don't know the full facts and probably never will, so understanding the dog's actions is only speculation.
  15. Thanks for the replies. I curerently use Eukanuba large breed anyway as I find this works best so far - was just wondering if a switch to the breed specific would be of any benefit.
  16. Hi All, Just looking for some opinions on the breed specific dry foods on the market for Rottweiler's - in particular Royal Canin and Eukanuba. Is there any benefit to feeding these dry foods or is it all just hype?
  17. Beautiful dog captured by beautiful pictures
