  1. Thanks everyone for the replie.they are very helpful.Pinnacle, great information. This sounds like soemthing I can easily do as we have grass and a big yard.As we will have a 2hr cross over somedays btween my husband finishing work and me starting I need to make sure the pup has somewhere to go.the pup will be female.Another reason I am wanting to do this is because I am realy starting to panic that someone will take my dog when she gets older. Not that anything has ever happened like this before around here, but bulldogs are not common anywhere and I dont want to save all my money buy my gorgeous pup and thenn have some idiot take her. Anywa I will give the grass ago. Thanks again Donna
  2. I am buying a british bulldog pup in a few weeks and wanted to know if they can be trained to you a kitter litter tray.We are wanting to leave the dog inside when it gets hotter with the air conditioner on and will need the dog to be able to go to the toilet inside which we are hoping will be in the litter tray. any help is appreciated. thanks
  3. when we were teaching our cocker spaniel, she was 2 yrs old by the time we started, she was very scared at first and didnt want anything to do with it.we kept trying to get her to go "out" the flap but that didnt work so we had her come back "in "through the flap.the husband gently pushed her head onto the door,as they use there head, and I was inside with a treat.it took about 3 goes and she had it down pat.But still 1 year on if she has a chance she comes in through the door when we come in.I wouldnt say dogs get to like the door they just learn how to use it when they have to.

  5. We have a rottweiler and when he was around 1 yrs old he started pulling the husbands pants of the line[i think he only pulled his off because they were the longest]anyway my husband washed his belt in his jeans one day and when the dog pulled them of the line the belt buckle must of hit him on his back[assuming as he had a mouth full of trouser legs]and with that he dropped them straight away .I am not saying huirting the dog is good, but certainly something that is on the clothes or in the clothes[balloon maybe}will probably do the trick.
  6. Hi Everyone Thanks for the replies.I unfortunately forgot about my post.I am looking at buying a british bulldog for my daughter for her 13th birthday.I am interested in having my daughter taught all the right things for the showring.Unfortunately she isnt the sporty type,we have tried, and at her age and todays society,if she is interested in doing something I agree in and cannot see any harm in then i am all for it.We are only entering the showing I think. We are not aware of exactly what the british bulldog is able to handle, showing, agility, obedience, but we think mainly showing will be the preference.Hillsbourogh might be an option.Do you know how long the lessons go for. Thanks again Donna
  7. Hi everyone. I am new on here but still have a question. My daughter is getting a puppy and we want to show the pup. We are after someone to teach my daughter all the in's and out's of how the dog should walk to how she should walk. If you live near or around Kurri Kurri, which is Cessnock/Newcastle, please contact me. I will pay. Thanks again
