    What Sex?

I would get a boy...same reason as persephone
  2. I like reading these ;) Makes me truly believe the animals that aren't with me anymore are up there with my Nanna keeping each other company It's a nice feeling...
  3. My boy had the same operation and it took a good few days for him to return to his normal tail wagging state, and then a good few months to grow back some hair on his tummy. I tried to give him lots of quiet time to recover and in terms of food, i was told to just give him small meals of boiled chicken & rice. Best wishes for a speedy recovery
  4. Can anyone recommend a good mobile dog wash? I'm in Pascoe Vale, VIC I was going to take a look in the yellow pages, but thought someone on here might know a good one
  5. I've been using Eagle Pack weight management dry food recently and am very happy with it. I also feed chicken frames, chicken necks, nice fresh meaty bones, as often as i can i make up a mix of premium beef mince, veg and rice, i also add raw egg (shell and all) every so often, and occasionally they'll get sardines... and they also like a bit of natural yoghurt every now and again I keep tins of Natures gift on hand for emergencies..
  6. so, so sorry for your sudden and tragic loss hannahh.. May she run free with my Daisy girl at the bridge Rest in Peace Maggie-Moo
  7. That's what i thought...but he doesn't have anywhere to bury his toys or a bone as our yard is completely paved. Unless he's attempted to 'bury' a toy in the paving and scraped his nose :D I've seen him try to do this once inside with a rawhide bone. He was 'burying' it in a tiled space between a doorway and a bookshelf. Even if the pink spot was as a result of this normal behaviour, wouldn't it have scabbed over or bled? I find it really odd that it's never bled or scabbed....and surely it would've healed already!! Poor Benny.. if only he could talk
  8. Still looks the same: flat and pink. No raised bits or changing colours and still the same size...
  9. The spot is still there.. i'm starting to worry now. I've been applying the cream i was given to the spot 2-3 times a day and it's not changed anything. Look's like we are off to the vet again..
  10. Done deal happy i could help! PM me your addy and i'll pop it in the post this afternoon or tommorow morning at the very latest
  11. Miranda, I have a spare vial of Advantage for dogs and pups 4-10kg that i keep for fosters etc.. I will happily mail it to you if you like!!

    Scruff

RIP Scruff So sorry for your loss IHF & family..
  13. Can i third that? Benny's xray's showed up nothing but gas. Once they performed surgery, they found a big chunk of his toy rubber bone in his intestine... I hope the girl is ok
  14. Rest in peace beautiful.. So sorry for your loss..
  15. Your poor girl!! glad she got better, Mizzi. Ben's pads look pretty normal, but either way we'll be off to the vet if the spot doesn't go away..
  16. The cream my vet gave me is Illium Neocort. It seems to be getting smaller, but im not sure if it's my imagination! He is healthy other than that. Eating, toileting, playing like normal. So i'll give it some more time and if it doesn't change, back to the vet we go.
  17. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that there was a small pink spot developing on Ben's nose. At first i thought maybe he scraped it on something, but looking closely i could see there was no blood or scab and the skin was not raised at all. I kept a close eye on it, making sure he had sunscreen on it multiple times a day when he was outdoors, and hoping it might just go away. A couple of days ago i realised it was getting a bit bigger and darkening slightly. I took him to my vet and he believes it may be sun related and hopefully should go away, but if it doesn't we may have to do a biopsy. The vet gave me an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory cream to try, so im hoping that it's nothing serious. Has anybody experienced anything like this?
  18. Me too I keep natures gift in the pantry in case of emergency. Even the fussiest of foster dog's i've had have liked it! My mum used to buy My Dog allllll the time for her three... After nagging her for ages about all the crap in it, she's finally stopped buying it...
  19. RIP beautiful babies.. yes.. it's a sad time of year... sad for those that didn't make it, but happy for the ones we could give a second chance.. Cuddles from me to your fosters and rescues this christmas
  20. So sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy.. may he rest in peace
  21. i get mine in a 3 pack from safeway i think they're like two dollars something.. pretty cheap!!
  22. I buy the homebrand "sardines in vegetable oil" and drain most of the oil out. I don't really see how it can hurt.. he gets sardines about once or twice a week..
  23. Ben had the same problem with one of his front teet and the vet removed it for him while he was being desexed. Probably a good idea to take him to the vet and have them take a look at it...
  24. so sorry for your loss.. R.I.P Sooty..
