  1. Too funny! I have to admit I read you post and thought...Saxamaphone
  2. Omg...I don't think anyone is supposed to overhear me calling the pup by his nicknames. Saxon get Sax, Saxie, Saxony, Chappie, Goob, Goober, Big Idiot, Big Boob, Jube...there are probably lots more  The horse also comes running if I yell out things like "Oi Monkey"!
  3. The only time I cut the quick was when my boy was a pup, back when didn't mind his nails being clipped. He's usually the melodramatic sooky type. I nearly had a heart attack each time he started screaming and limping as a puppy (he was always fine and the only times he really hurt himself he didn't make a big deal of it). He didn't even seem to notice when I cut the quick. He was fine having his nails clipped for a long time afterwards...and then one day he had a big panic about it (which was really fun with 70kgs of weight behind the flailing legs and paws). I've managed to get him over the big dramatic panic, but he hates it still and he gets very sulky and still.
  4. Looks so good! I probably shouldn't have gone to look at the site though. Dangerous!
  5. I received my final order today, which I didn't get a tracking number for. I received a wrong item again, for a second time. I don't mind too much because Cleanrun seem to be so good at fixing any mistakes. It wasn't until I started playing with the toy that I began to think it was slightly smaller than I was expecting. So I went and double checked, and I'd received the Ringzees Wool Ring instead of the slightly more expensive Lollycadoodle one. I really wish some of the harnesses they were selling were stocked in one size larger though. I'm trying to decide where to get one from instead. They're all so much more expensive in stores here, and there's a really limited range. Surely I should be able to find somewhere with bearable shipping prices...
  6. I've got all mine except my last order which I haven't received a tracking number for. I hope it's on it's way anyway.
  7. My boy won't take training treats (and he's not keen on tugging either) when he's hot...given that his recall is something we're still working on, I haven't quite solved that issue yet. Even if I take him out once it's cooled off in the evening, he's not interested. He'll sometimes take a treat then spits it back out.
  8. Only just saw this and that's great. I thought at least they had a picture and video in the original article I came across, but they were so vague about the dog, which was a shame. Considering how often the breed is splashed across the news at any time of an attack, it's great to see someone mentioning the breed name also when the news is positive.
  9. It wouldn't hurt to email the company. They might be able to recommend something. A link to their website is on a couple of my posts in this thread. I think I might do that. I was probably avoiding it because I don't really need to spend more money right now, but why not! :D They're not that expensive. You can get them online for around $20, but at the vets they're more like $30. That's where I got mine. I see them for over nz$50 mostly around here. We get overcharged for everything!

  11. My boy does sneak in the occasional face lick. But his tongue cover most of my face in one lick, so pretty disgusting! The cat totally puts up with it and then I have accidentally kissed the top of her head afterwards.
  12. My pup towers over my bed pretty easily. I've found that I wake up the second I hear him walking my way and I usually turn the other way or hide under my blankets so that he doesn't lick my face. He finds it a bit hard to resist when you're lower that he is. He's also a bit weird and will quite happily lick clothes. Just a lick or two. That's way less gross than on the face, but you don't always want your clothes licked either! I too don't touch food without washing my hands. Getting sick is no fun and I barely have the time to get sick at the moment anyway. Public toilets are pretty gross too. I never want to turn the tap back off or open the door with my hands after washing them. And then those people who try to hand you food that you'd have to touch to eat when you're at the supermarket! I'm always like, ugh...with my trolley infected hands...don't think so!
  13. My boy will always get plenty of raw meat, but I have to admit, I'm very grossed out when I see horse meat. No way am I ever going to go near it. I just couldn't.
