  1. We have a 4 1/2 month old Border Collie, we got him at 8 weeks, and we can't seem to get the hang of this toilet training thing. He'll go outside when we tell him to, he gets lots of praise, but when we're inside it's like he forgets everything. He'll be playing with his toys and without much warning he'll go wherever his standing. If we catch him we'll run to the back door and make funny noises so he'll follow but once we get him outside he won't finish. He knows it's bad because every time he does it and we go to clean it he'll run away and hide. We've tried picking him up and running him out, saying no when he does it inside then yes when we're outside, standing with him outside (being boring) until he goes, leaving him outside if he doesn't go, and even thought I didn't want to a couple of times be put his nose in it. We need help!!! This is the only thing he has trouble with and he would be the close to perfect dog once he gets it.
  2. Yeah it would help if I put in a State. We're in Victoria, Ferntree Gully.
  3. Hi, we have a beautiful 4mo border collie (will get some pics up when we can) and his doing really well with all his training but we want to give him a bit more activity. We've heard of a farm of some sort that you can take your dog to and let them run lose to some extent and herd up sheep. Can anyone let me know if we've heard right and if so where can we find it? Is their a website? Thanks for reading.
  4. Thanks for your help. I've got him booked in for his pre puppy school in a couple of weeks so I wasn't too concerned about that. And I trust all the owners of the dogs his going to play with. He'll get his 2nd shot early April, but I also think it's important to socialise him at a early age.
  5. Hi All, We're getting our new puppy this Sunday, and he will have a lot of doggy friends ranging from the ages 1 year ole to 15 years old. His had his first vaccenation on this past Saturday and I just wanted to know how long I have to wait to show him off. I'll post some photo's as soon as I can. Thanks
