  1. a bit of a rescue remedy? dogs drop coat when theyre stressed then again with the crazy weather we have been having he might just a be a bit warm
  2. might be a grass allergy might just be habit best way to break a habit is to teach a new one
  3. trust me if cavnrott had wished to be rude you would have walked away with your own bladder in your hands. Get your dog to a vet - a UTI is treatable but if left untreated can be deadly
  4. Uh what do you expect them to be fed on - chicken? Mad chicken disease
  5. Um IR - where is the proof of this? While I agree that red meat can and does cause allergies the reason APPEARS to be because of the type of protein - not some witchcraft having to do with heating up the blood
  6. I get it from pet goods direct which is PPs partner store but doesnt sell animals.
  7. That is what Im thinking this means another hospital stay - no general though - just a sedation I hope
  8. My dog has had a wound on his backside for months. It started when one of the other dogs grabbed him. She took a chunk of hair with her and there was no wound. Now months later there is a weepy sore. It was a hole looking thing, then a wound, then a scab, then it was a sore. Vets have looked at it and dismissed it. I'm trying betadine on it but frankly my question is - any ideas why it hasnt healed for MONTHS? He has been on cortisone and antibiotics during that time and otherwise not much else Just above the wound is a little lump - feels solid - no pain - hasn't grown since i first saw it - no colour to it We are back at the vets next week but just wondering why it hasn't healed??
  9. you said in another thread you were looking for raw dog treats - cut the tongue up with a veggie slicer and voila
  10. Ok - so let's assume dogs are carnivores and should be fed on a meat based diet. I have an older dog - over 10 - large breed. I fed a meat based diet and was told the protein levels were too high for a dog his age. If I can't feed carbs and I can't feed protein am I expected to feed lard or is my dog expected to be a breatharian?
  11. i click all the way. There used to be one called a megaclick and I loved that but it's not longer made You can also get a clickstick - I love the clickstick
  12. Your club probably knows already but it can't hurt to ask. Just say. I saw so and so with this collar - what is it, how does it work? Then if they do and it is an aversive, you can say - well isn't that against our rules?
