  1. With the cattle dogs. yes, Have it in one. Only one at the Dayboro show though.
  2. After seeing you at Dayboro thought I would take a peek and see if you had any photos of the new puppies and I found them. They are adorable, you must be so proud. What a lovely litter. It will be great to see them in the ring.
  3. I have used Natual Balance dry dog food and I really like it for my dogs. I always take that as well as chicken wings and veges when we go away for the week-end. I use it when I want a convenient dog food.
  4. I had a dog who use to get car sick all the time. This is what I did. Took her for a walk before the trip. I gave her 3 ginger biscuits 1/2 an hour before the trip, 500mg capsules work as well. I opened the car window a little and also played soft music. Ginger is very good for settling the stomach and it certainly helped her.
  5. Sorry for your loss.
  6. You could try the mashed pumpkin, carrot, apple, sardines in oil and psyllium. I blend the apple and carrot. These are suppose to be effective. Drinking water is very important too. These are things that have worked for my dog when she was constipated. Just a thought though. I would see what other opinions are, more experienced than I. If you feel worried, and you have a good vet, you could phone and ask their advice. Good luck.
  7. Such a touching tribute to a lovely dog who must have been extremely lonely as a guard dog. It was fantastic that fate brought you together and that he had such a loving home. Brought tears to my eyes. So sorry for your loss.
  8. Only a thought, I am sure you will get many more people replying with lots more experience but what about cooked chicken? I had a dog that did not really respond to treats and I found that cooked chicken was the best for her. I would walk past her nose with it in my hand and I would then call her, she would come and I would make a big fuss of her and give her a tiny bit of the chicken. I think it was the praise and pats as well as the chicken that helped. I also made a game of it and would hide a bit in the yard. I would rub it in the grass and she would find it. Also when found lots of hugs and praise as well as the chicken. Good luck
  9. I have a dog with what sounds like a very similar problem and I found this while searching the forum, not sure it it will help you but it appears to helping my dog http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?s=&a...t&p=3366320. Good luck
  10. I feed bones, chicken frames, wings, turkey necks and lamb shanks, not at the same time also I feed mince meat with veges. So it is a combination really.
  11. How absolutely ghastly for you and your dog. Thank you for this information though. I have one of those toys. I shall throw it in the garbage bin.
  12. I had a cattle dog that could not swim took her to Shorncliffe with a friend, one held a long lead and encouraged while the other supported her, took a few lessons but eventually she learnt to swim.
